The Score Cleaner 8,491 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I don't think the Warg Chase was re-recorded, I think they just dialed out instruments but I dunno.
The Score Cleaner 8,491 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Perhaps it was inserts or something.
Code 000. Destruct. 0. 4,261 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Or Amazon has noted that there's been an increase in traffic to that product, and they're making it seem as though supplies are running low to lubricate potential buyers' wallets. Sounds devious, I know, but there's a lot to suggest that they do it.
Jay 43,908 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I am fairly certain the discs haven't even started getting pressed yet, whoever fell for that is not very smart
Jay 43,908 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Both versions of the OST are up on Amazon US now!Standard (currently $15.41): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FFT182K/jwfancom-20Special Edition (currently $21.36): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FFT1BJ0/jwfancom-20I just pre-ordered both! Both prices will go down by the time it actually comes out.
Jilal 655 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Both CD's qualify for pre-order price guarantee, so that shouldn't be a problem.
gkgyver 1,647 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 I just ordered the SE. I can get the regular edition everywhere.
Incanus 5,882 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I just ordered the SE. I can get the regular edition everywhere.I think I'll wait for a retailer closer to home to have it in stock before ordering. I don't want to wait 4-8 weeks for it during the holiday season postal rush.
gkgyver 1,647 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 You can have copies of DoS everywhere if you know what I mean.
crocodile 9,352 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Oh so there are twelve extended pieces and one additional track.I wonder what the "interactive orchestral sketch signed by composer Howard Shore" is exactly?Karol
gkgyver 1,647 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Where exactly should one look out for the press release anyway?
crocodile 9,352 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Where exactly should one look out for the press release anyway?None has been issued yet, I think.Karol
Incanus 5,882 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Where exactly should one look out for the press release anyway?I think Mr. Adams will post it on his blog as soon as it is released. Hopefully track lists will become available at the same time and Water Tower Music updates their site with the info on both releases.
BloodBoal 7,545 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Last year, we got all the info at the beginning of November, and we're at the beginning of November right now...
Code 000. Destruct. 0. 4,261 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Ah, last year, when I was still a faceless lurker, without all these cares and responsibilities.
crocodile 9,352 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 An almost unbearable burden, yes.Karol
gkgyver 1,647 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 What's up with the different release dates? German amazon has December 6th for both versions, while amazon US shows the 3rd for the regular, and the 10th for the special edition. How come the two are a week apart? Do they count on fans not being able to bear the waiting so they buy the regular and special edition?

gkgyver 1,647 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Also, apparently someone bought both copies from that ominous seller at amazon UK because it says it's out of stock.
gkgyver 1,647 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Then you can surely post the track list. How's Tauriel's theme?
crocodile 9,352 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I like it. It sounds like something straight out of Salt - with all those synth drum loops and all. Karol
Code 000. Destruct. 0. 4,261 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 But still replete with feminine verve, I trust.
crocodile 9,352 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Not in Tauriel in Nature one, no.They do appear in the other one, though.Karol
crocodile 9,352 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Oh yes, that's the one. And in Tauriel's Farewells too.Karol
KK 3,310 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I thought Shore was using the Horns of Doom for Tauriel and Kili

gkgyver 1,647 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 I assume the Tiesto remix is at least 10 minutes long?
gkgyver 1,647 Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 I assume Doug explains the intricate connection between the remix and The King Of The Wooden Hall?Fingers crossed Tiesto will score the Battle of Five Armies.
