There's no chance Mad Max isn't #1 this weekend, right?

Its an R rated fillm

That won't stop parents from taking their kids to see it, though. Direct observation has taught me this.

Mad Max is a good sequel/reboot though.

I hope it's because they got rid of all the BDSM costumes from the originals (unless a couple managed to stick around for the sequel/reboot)... and also a compelling story, even if it's 90% action.

Why wouldn't I?

Strangely, boxofficemojo doesn't seem to have World-wide numbers available for just this weekend, at least not that I could find. So that's why I only have the summer-so-far for worldwide. I wonder why that is?

When referring to "international", that excludes "domestic".

"Worldwide" combines the two.

You're right. Changed.

my aunt was dying and I am viewing Jw thanks to hospital internet. Something are a bit more important you retard. you still did a laughably bad job. Most film have no shot.you embarrassed you self by including Furious 7 which is already behind Avengers 2 and has no chance. Unfortunately I cannot edit your choices like you did mine the last time I did this summer boxoffice poll in 2013.

We're all part of this world! No one should be excluded.

no one cares what was # 1 in Holland except Hollandites.

Again - if you want it done differently, do it yourself and I'll happily close mine. If you can post, you can make a poll, so your excuses are bullshit. And thanks for calling me a retard. Shows the class level we are dealing with here.

If you don't want to make your own, then don't bitch about the one someone else did instead.

You have done it.

You cater to the international crowd.

I will do one for the Winter...unless I'm too lazy.

You twice called me lazy. You're the fucking mod or administration. You shouldn't be insulting anyone asswipe.

Box Office is international. Period. Your rapidly diminishing country is not a yardstick that even the studios producing the junk you create these threads for count on, so there.

I joking called Joey lazy to try to spur him into creating the thread himself. Completely different from calling someone a retard. That's a fifth grade insult. Isn't Joey a grown man? What happened?

The time it has taken you to bitch about my thread is less than the time it would have taken you to make your own. That's a fact.

Now let's talk box office numbers instead of all this childishness!

You can't admit you're wrong Jason. Figures.

And I'll be critical of choices like Hit Man 47. What the hell is that? Shaun the Sheep. Zzzzzzz

I think a more interesting take is which will succeed more That Pixar Film Inside and Out or Minions.

If Jurassic World didn't look so bad in the trailer I might have thought it might challenge Avengers 2.

Mad Max #s are an embarrassment for WB. Domestically. Poor Tom Hardy. He's BO poison.

Last question...How many of these films hit the 200 million blockbuster definition?

Mad Max #s are an embarrassment for WB. Domestically.

A critically lauded R rated action film that's taken the #2 spot in a PG13 industry. I'm sure WB is hiding under the table.

I love you Joe, but you do talk rubbish sometimes.

The write-up on BOM about the weekend says WB should be very happy with the take that Mad Max got

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=4061&p=.htm

A sequel is sure to be green-lit any day now.

I do wonder if they would have made more money if they did an IMAX vs instead of a 3D version. Nobody in the US seems to really care about 3D at all.

I think the strong word of mouth for Mad Max will give it legs for sure. It could make another $35 million next weekend.

The thing to remember is: This is 2015. We had a whole 7 page thread about how crowded this year is.

This isn't a summer where we'll have a big breakout hit that FAR surpasses all the others - there's just too many damn movies coming out this summer. We'll have a lot of movies make modest bank, but less huge hits than usual because of the crowded schedule.

Stefan you're naive. WB wants more. Much more. They spin it positively. But they got beat by a musical comedy. Universal is having a decent summer.
