Jaws first expansion was in 2000, and the definitive expansion was in 2015, 15 years from one to the other. E.T. latest expansion was in 2002, 14 years ago.

To me, the statement doesn't really sound optimistic, either. It only suggests what I take for granted anyway: Before long, there will be a new release of E.T. in some form. This doesn't even suggest that it will actually be Intrada (or another one of the Labels) who eventually produces it.
