Wycket 36
Thanks, Wojo. I had forgotten about those but I guess I'll try to come up with something different, as I'm not really feeling either of those. Thanks for the effort, however.

Ollie 1,059
The seven Superman albums in my iPod all have differing schemes of album art. I'm not too too worried about it.I used the Blue Box picture. It just looks too good to ignore it. Same with the Bernstein box, I have original album covers saved but I like the look of the box. Koray Savas 2,251
With box sets, if there are individual arts available, I will use those. But, in cases like The Blue Box, I just use the box cover cause I have no other option really.
Ollie 1,059
The only thing that bugs me is multiple scores on 1 disc.I've had to look for movie posters for some older scores and edit them down to fit. I know that there are contractual/legal issues through the studios that may dictate how the artwork looks. But I like how FSM & Intrada put one cover on the front of the booklet and one on the back. Wojo 2,453
The only thing that bugs me is multiple scores on 1 disc. When that happens, I split them into two discrete albums, both physically on the computer, and tag-wise so that iTunes recognizes them as different albums. For example, I'm sure there are merits for putting Bachelor Flat and How to Steal a Million (film) onto the same disc. But for my listening pleasure, I don't want to listen to one in order to get to the other. And so in this case, each "album" would get its own unique artwork, and the iPod would never "know" that they used to be together. That's what the physical CD is for.
Koray Savas 2,251
I keep them on the same disc, but I apply their respective artwork to each of them.
Ollie 1,059
I know, I separate them too. I was just commenting on the scores that don't have a cover for the all that are included on a disk.
Wojo 2,453
Ah. Then maybe as another example, let's consider the wide array of main themes and suites on disc 2 of Tadlow's Exodus. In that case, I do keep them intact as part of the Tadlow album, and retain the overall Exodus cover art for the files. In that sense, the "listening experience" of other Ernest Gold music plus music related to Jewish history is more important than having a bunch of one or two track albums (even the rather large QB VII suite) scattered around my iPod. Charlie Brigden 7
If it's one or two tracks like on Exodus, especially if they're related in some way. But if it's a split album (like Fitzwilly/The Long Goodbye for example) I make my own custom artwork.
Ollie 1,059
For compilations I just leave them as is. I just left the tracks on the Exodus disc.I think The Long Goodbye had artwork on the back of the booklet. I used that picture. I'll usually just go grab a movie poster or visit some of the various cover blogs for discs that don't have the artwork for multiple scores or just leave it as one disc. Trent B 337
Gah I realize, I'm a bit late on this...but sorta forgot. Someone requested my custom covers for the first two Spider-Man scores I made, at least the main front covers themselves. I'm going to redo them since I've gotten better at it since I originally made them. I did Spider-Man 2's last night and I'll do Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3's today. FarVoyager 0
Hello,First time poster here. I wound up on the forums looking for artwork to use in itunes for the FSM 8 CD boxed set for Superman. I saw that someone posted some nice covers that used the original movie posters, but I have to admit that I never liked the posters for many of the Superman movies. So, I simply decided to come up with my own. I fear that my artwork is rather inferior to much of what is posted on here, but in case someone finds these useful, I am posting them here. Some notes:1. My goal was to make a distinct cover for each movie, so Superman I and Superman IV have the same color scheme for two discs because they're spread across two discs.2. I'm not happy with the Superman IV yet; I tried to stick with Superman colors (red, blue, yellow), but I'm still not happy with the yellow that I used in Superman IV.3. I tried to create some continuity between all the covers by using the original logo from the movies; for the animated series disc (disc 7), however; that meant that I had to tamper with the overall theme a bit to reflect the logo used in the cartoon and try to stay consistent with the other covers.4. Feel free to criticize my work.EDIT: P.S. All 8 covers are down below. Scroll down for them.EDIT 2: I've deleted the attachments. The 8 covers posted below represent the first round. Scroll down yet further for round 2. (Hopefully done!)

Feel free to criticize my work.Hey, that's really cool. It's a sweet and clean look and I like the black more than the blue used on the actual release. A bit of constructive criticism:1. The FSM BOX 02 font just looks like it was thrown in there. I'd suggest making it a little smaller and put some spacing between the letters.2. The font size differences on the title and credit seem a bit jarring. I think it'd work perfectly well with SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE to have the fonts the same size but leave one bold and one normal. Also, I think the "Music composed by..." would look better if that bit was in lowercase and the JW part was in capitals. But it's really nice work. Wojo 2,453
I think I like these better than the movie posters I currently use for mine on my iPod, which aren't consistent at all. Except I have Supermans I and IV combined into single albums to keep my album count low. I haven't decided if I should split them up, to avoid listening to the first disc more than the second disc. Wycket 36
Wow.FarVoyager, those covers are pretty darn awesome. Unlike you, I really like the yellow/orange color scheme you chose as I feel it fits very well with the film. I would have chosen green (for Kryptonite) for III but I could get used to the red. I'm already using these awesome covers. Thanks a bunch and I hope you continue to do great work.

FarVoyager 0
Great work, FarVoyager! Hope to see more from you. Here are my covers for the Trent edits of the prequel trilogy.Thank you. Nice work, too! Truth be told, I paged through these forums for inspiration to help me craft the covers I was looking for. Thanks FarVoyager! That's not exactly what I had in mind, but I appreciate the personal touch!Funny -- I suppose I should have asked! (I'm grinning as I write this.)So, speaking of making more covers: does anyone here, by any chance, happen to own all four of the Karate Kid movies on DVD? I'm looking especially for the versions in which every cover is done in the theme of red. I have tried for years to make covers for the Bill Conti scores, but every effort has been a disaster. Don't know why it is so hard. But, given that we have the boxed set of all 4 soundtracks, I figure I should take another crack at it. The easiest would be to use scans of the red toned covers that someone in Hollywood made for each film. With some cropping (and using the original Karate Kid font "News 701 Bold"), i'd be able to create four rather consistent covers. Unfortunately, I only own the first film and I haven't had luck getting good enough quality images of the covers via the world wide interwebs. I suppose I could just go buy the last 3 DVDs to get the covers, but I can't bring myself to buy KK3 or the Next Karate kid -- how's that for prejudice?Okay, to make a long story short, anyone have all 4 of the Karate Kid films on DVD with the individual red covers AND have a scanner to scan them...? (I know it is a long shot!)

FarVoyager 0
Charlie -- that cover is fantastic! How did you do it? I love the minimalism of it!Okay, so I got impatient about doing the Karate Kid soundtrack covers because I have long wanted 4 individual covers for the Varese Sarabande box set release of Conti's score to all four movies. I love the minimalism of it!Thanks! The artwork is from the Marvel Comics adaptation of the film. I thought it'd be cool to have a dynamic image of Indy in colour against a black and white image (in this case Toht), and as you mention, I'm a big fan of minimalist, and, well, I'm a bit tired of the usual Indy custom covers. I love the Struzan artwork, but I just wanted to do something different. The fonts are somewhat based on the film's opening titles.Glad you liked it!Well, I'm not sure about this one. I've spent a lot of time on it going over various things (like whether to use the same font as before or the classic Indy logo), and I'm not sure about it, although I can't really put my finger on it.
