That's how I felt when Intrada had a big sale last month. I just didn't care enough about the titles to buy anything. But then, I barely purchased any albums in the past few months. Hopefully, more interesting titles will start coming out soon.

Confusing, this. ;)

Added A.I. Artificial Intelligence to the main post. I suggest buying it as soon as it goes on sale Tuesday, June 16th at 12:00PM PST, because I think the 3,000 run will sell out fairly quickly.

Ok, I saw a funny thing looking at the main post.

Family Plot gets 5000 copies (of course it's Varese and not la-laland) and A.I. gets 3000! :)

(someone would think it should be the opposite)

But again, there wasn't any previous release of Family Plot so I guess it can be explained.

I was shocked when I saw AI was limited to 3,000. I would have thought 3,500 or 4,000 for sure

Maybe they low balled it to be safe and will subsequently reissue another 1,000 if it sells out. Seems to be working out for them on the big titles. I'm sure they didn't expect to be sitting on those last few hundred copies of Hook for years.

If Hook has been a pitch perfect release it might have sold out faster I think. With all the missing music and the film stem material on it might have scared off a few customers.

Maybe they'll release it again Batman style with newly sourced elements.

Added Lost In Space, Jaws 2, Jaws, and Home Alone to the main post.

Also noticed that A Guide For The Married Man sold out:

2000: A Guide For the Married Man (1967) [3000 Copies]: Less than 20 copies!!! <---- SOLD OUT

And finally the Blue Box Second Edition is available again so I removed the SOLD OUT moniker.

Oooh, sorry to scare you like that!

I think its possible Intrada could sell out both Jaws sets by next summer. Doug posted something that seemed to me to indicate they could only press 5,000 copies of each

Here's the quote by Doug I was referring to:

Just a premature heads up - no alarm intended - but based on the activity with Back To The Future Part II and Jaws 2 (and from our earlier experience with Back To The Future Part I, I hope people can prioritize their purchasing so as to include this incredible set without too much delay. Quite honestly, I anticipate we'll sell the absolute maximum number of units allowable per the current AFM agreements, in pretty rapid manner.

http://www.intrada.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=74385#p74385

And more importantly, this followup quote from MV:

By: La La Land Records (Member)

New rules went into effect Aug 15, 2015 of this year. Now the limit is 5,000 units with NO payment and then you gotta pay the full pop if you go beyond 5,000.

That rule applies to anything released before Aug 14, 2005

Damn this could mean fear-of-selling-out frenzy could happen with the new Home Alone?

Thanks god my "Jawses" are already being packed.

He's talking about reuse fees, right? So now they don't have to pay any for up to 5,000 units?

It's not a low quantity, but I happened upon some amazing deals on the Irwin Allen box set. Too bad I don't need it.

Your solstice is on the same day as our winter one.

Oh wait, I think I see the source of confusion...

In Australia we deem our seasons to start on the first day of certain months: 1 Dec for Summer, 1 Mar for Autumn (kk, "Fall"), 1 Jun for Winter, and 1 Sep for Spring. I think in the US the seasons are deemed to start based on the dates of the solstices and equinoxes. Just like the dates of our Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day different from the US.

Please correct/clarify with the US situation.

And look... it's my 100th post!!!!! Gee-wow!
