Ross 1 Posted November 27, 2002 Posted November 27, 2002 I just bought a €6 DVD-R copy of Minority Report (with both the discs, actually) and, the credits in the cover are hilarious. These are the credits that really are in this DVD-R cover:Directed by STEWEN SPIELBERGStarring [all actors names are correct]Cinematographer by JANUSZ WILLIAMSMusic by JOHN WILLIAMSVisual Effects BLONDEL AIDOOCostumer Designer DEBORAH LYNN SCOTTFilm Editing by MICHAEL KAHN (I)Casting by DENISE CHAPMANWritten by JON COHEN SCOTT FRANKStunt JOHN ASHKER JAKE BRAKE RICHARD BUCHERSound Department KAREN BENNET RON JUDKINDS STUAR McCOWAN DEE SELBYProduced by GERALD R. Melange 448 Posted November 28, 2002 Posted November 28, 2002 LOL. Ross i'm used to that now. I've bought some DVD copies here in Thailand and they are quite funny. Although the covers of films never released yet on DVD look totally professional (they must have some superb graphics programs to emulate original covers) they always give something away like a typo or something similar. I've seen about 5 different covers for Attack of the clones and they look superb. They really do look like the kind of layout a proper DVD would get. But they always mess up somewhere with spelling or something. Nothing comes to mind at the moment, but i've noticed some quite funny mistakes the Thais have made. Although your DVD sounds a little bit over the top. Were they Drunk?. P.S : You can already get the new Harry Potter film here on DVD LOL and its also gots its own professional looking cover already (complete with SPECIAL EDITION bar and promises of extras and deleted scenes etc). Most of the DVD's are fine (i've played them to check) but one or two are total jokes. Signs is somebody with a camcorder in the cinema (complete with somebody's head in shot as they buy popcorn). On DVD too LOL
Lurker 5 Posted November 28, 2002 Posted November 28, 2002 I saw some very nicely produced Star Wars bootleg DVD's at my friends last summer. The sub title option was hilarious. There were so many simple mistakes, but reading the sub titles actually made watching ROTJ fun again.Neil
Guest Posted November 28, 2002 Posted November 28, 2002 AI - appreciating Ross's obscure, quirky sense of humour.
Ross 1 Posted November 28, 2002 Author Posted November 28, 2002 Then you should keep away from my Give me a Break thread. All clichéd stuff.-ROSS, glad that somebody finally appreciates

Oomoog the Ecstatic 314 Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 It think it's spelled Star Wars in the US, but you're right that stars are just farts. So Fart Wars, aka Star Wars is a true film score. That's really interesting.
Edmilson 12,377 Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 This thread was hilarious in 2002, but not so much in 2021.
Smeltington 2,011 Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 Should have held it for the anniversary next year.

A true film score fan will play a score at home, turn it off with disgust after 5 minutes, be depressed about the state of the industry for another 5 minutes, then go on JWFan to write "it's decent, it works in the film, might have to give it another listen to get it", and be mad at someone who says he doesn't like it.
