  1. OOPS! My spell correct initially mispelled Effect as affect. I went back to edit and corrected it, but it didn't erase affect. To quote Goldenrod... "Oh dear, oh dear..." And my daughters and nieces went through the 'Baby Shark' phase a few years back. Thankfully, it wasn't overly excessive, so it wound up being more cute than annoying. So far same for my youngest's current thing for 'Wicked.' 'Popular' too. They sound great! Can't wait for the CDs to arrive!
  2. Ha! Well, no overseas vacation this year... We got lazy and just stayed home during winter break. Buried in an on/off Lake Effect affect snowstorm instead ! My youngest however keeps blasting 'Wicked' and screaming 'Defying Gravity'... so at least the both of them appreciate soundtracks! More Disney-oriented tho. I'm always torn myself as well. I've ordered from both in the past, whatever one gets it to me quicker reasonably priced I'll order with. You two have the extra International hurdle tho.
  3. Yep, I'm always remembering they usually do Tuesdays, usually dropping while I'm at work and have to take a timeout to order. But I'm off work on vacation and waiting impatiently.
  4. Yeah, sad/annoyed/angered to see they changed it to the 21st all of the sudden in the original FB post comments.
  5. Well, if remastered and a little better sound, that's ok too. For completeness's sake, it's fine, but like I said above, the OST is fairly easy to find cheap. This! Changing it up is great... a near-identical cue, or even the same recording... it's lazy and kind of a space-waster.
  6. Enjoying the album arrangement does not mean you cannot enjoy the film presentation, and vice-versa. I enjoy both, and I'm only displeased if we don't get the option to buy both. I also disliked it when whoever was arranging some of Williams's OSTs in that era was repeating either the same cue or a very close replay of it.
  7. Yes. When it's the Main theme repeated and a lot of of beautiful underscore left off of not only the album but the film, then very MUCH so. I've always pondered why expanded/complete collections are ever poo-poo'ed on. I am a fan of original album edits AND expanded editions. I want both, and the choice to buy both and listen to both. If we only had OSTs, we wouldn't have an enormous amount of music, some of it the best music to a particular film! But hell, 3 CDs is showing there's even more than I thought! Can't wait!
  8. YES!!!! I was thrilled to see it announced yesterday, awesome news and I always felt it's one of Williams's scores that needed expansion the most. The OST was somewhat short (and suffered from that similar OST weakness, especially from that era -- repetition of the main theme instead of covering more varied parts of the score, something that's great for casual listeners but not "I want more!" score lovers). The music as edited and arranged on the album version never seemed to carry the same weight as the music while watching the film, and weird edits were made on that album that always puzzled me. Only one edit I enjoy -- the album version of "Tavington's Trap" combined two of my favorite scenes into one -- as it made for a great listening experience, but broke up the narrative of each scene, so both versions would be appreciated. I'm not sure the entire album version would be included, as it seems fairly repetitive, although it's possible they were different performances. And the OST CD of this score is ridiculously easy to find cheap. I misplaced my copy somewhere in either my or my parent's homes, and instead of looking, I just bought one of the dozen or more on eBay for $5 shipped. As many old school members here remember, I made a personal DVD-isolated set that was far too SFX-laden (that I can't wait to forever replace now!) in an attempt to hear the unreleased music better. There was just so much of it (including tracked music that seemed out of place as well) that one could tell there was likely more than we knew probably got edited out... and the fact that we're getting 3-CDs seems to back that hunch. Lots of atmospheric time period source music as well, which also could explain the extra CD too. (Someone mentioned that possibly David Arnold's rejected demo on here? Or would his name probably have to be mentioned...) Can't wait to see the track titles and have it!
  9. Finally! One of the biggest missing links in the Williams catalog is released! That old bootleg CD that sounded like the 103rd hissy cassette dubbing of an 8-track copy can finally be relieved from the spot on my CD shelf that was a placeholder for. I wonder if anything will be left off this official release or not so those tired old boots can be officially retired? Not that the quality was that good... I may have only given it a listen or two in the 20+ years I've had it. The expanded/remastered releases always give me a chance to revisit and appreciate them more, as sometimes my tastes change and I'm more open to a score now that may have bored or disinterested me two decades ago. Thank you MM, JW, and LLL! Keep 'em coming!
  10. *EHEM!* Who is your hero for checking in to see if you got an order in?
  11. I got mine in as well. *WHEW!* I was pretty frustrated that after collecting JW CDs for decades, this one would've been the ONLY film score CD I didn't have. I've paid over $100 for a rare CD before (I think 'Yes, Giorgio'? I usually get every release at the pre-order or at least 1st day or release stage, especially the limited/expanded ones so I never have to pay that), but I wasn't spending $120+ for it unless I knew for a fact that they were never going to print another one. And I suspected since Disney never said it was limited that they'd make new batches, hence why I thought those people spending $500 - $5,000 would feel stupid. The sellers made out like bandits tho...
  12. I refresh that page several times a day every day and it never comes up. Can't believe I missed the window. Well, as long as a happy JWFan gets it and not an eBay reseller, I'll be fine... and keep refreshing!
  13. Man, KM... I thought I was bad typing on a small phone or tablet but you got me by a country mile. Or a hundred! I do think they will press more but whomever I emailed with is clueless about it and just has standard NPC/AI answers. It seems to me that it's horrid mismanagement, some scores aren't in demand and they must've forgotten that it's a cross-collectible (Disney, JW, Indy, etc.). IMO, they should want to make more because the bottom line usually is to make some money (seems they've been struggling on and off for a while now thanks to their treatment of fans/customers, so that's not even a given). But then what if someone in charge is like, "Meh, those snooty JWFans think they're so clever trying to save a few bucks on shipping, let's show them! TOO LATE! NO CD FOR YOU!" ... or... "I'm gonna' make JW's last score CD worth mega-bucks by shutting production at the pre-order stage... but having a stash in my basement to sell them $5k a pop one at a time! MWHAHAHA!"
  14. Someone actually paid $5,000 USD, plus tax. Wow. I don't care if one is a millionaire, that's just nuts. Or did they just have more money than they can spend in a lifetime and just spent F-U money? Did they feel silly now when there's one for $400 bid, $700 BiN? They'll doubtlessly come down some as more people get them and throw them up for sale. I did write Disney Music Emporium and they said it's sold out and no plans for re-stocking. What a horrible marketing plan... it's an amazing thing that a company so big and powerful can make such mind-numbingly bone-headed decisions like this (and, many things they've been doing for years now).
