Depends which cues you refer to exactly. The first time the theme is used in TPM (UE Disc 1 Track 4) the violins are playing harmonic glissandi. famous example in Stravinsky's Firebird:

The Berlin Philharmonic hall was built on the edge of West Berlin, close to the wall. It was kind of no man's land. You can see that wall (or to be more correct, the western part of the wall, since it wasn't just A wall but a whole site) at the top of the picture. https://www.stadtentwicklung.berlin.de/planen/staedtebau-projekte/kulturforum/de/einrichtungen/philharmonie/index.shtml

generally a really nice idea, but I'm not convinced. How „official“ is it? I'd really like to understand the legal aspects behind such publications. Also I've had a look on the launch sequence from Apollo 13 on the blog. It's great to be able to do transcriptions by ear, but there are clearly some wrong harmonies/chords. http://www.chrissiddallmusic.com/blog

Black Friday 2020 - What do you believe in?
Henry Sítrónu replied to bollemanneke's topic in General Discussion
What about Catch Me If You Can, has this been discussed before? In general, not just for this Black Friday... Also I'm still hoping for a Stone Trilogy... Speaking of, what about JFK? Sorry, haven't followed those discussions very closely. -
reminds me: I've once dated two guys for a few weeks. One of them, a jazz musician (!), didn't know Gershwin's Rhapsody in blue. That kind of help me making a decision.

I love THE LAND BEFORE TIME. but the way Horner uses cues by Prokofiev (Peter and the Wolf, October cantata) is hilarious. I have to post some examples. -
WAR OF THE WORLDS (2005) 2CD edition from Intrada Records 2020

mine arrived yesterday, I ordered on Oct. 8. That's quite fast (Germany). No scratch. -
I think to appreciate T2 to the fullest you really need to embrace the first film too. Not just because of the story, but to see and feel the development of Sarah. And the most terrifying scene in T2 to me is Sarah's assault on Mike Dyson, which mirrors the attacks and murders of the Terminator in the first movie.

used to watch the 1990 movie a lot as a child and just watched it again last night. I know there's always a certain chance to overhype things from your childhood, but I really think that the first 13 minutes – with the grandmother talking about her friend Erika and the death of the parents – are beautiful terrifying and very well made. -
