Well don't give up too quick, sometimes tickets will come back up as people abandon their cart, etc.

Tanglewood on Parade is a one-day festival type of event that takes place not only in the shed, but at different locations around the Tanglewood grounds. It includes a variety of performances by various talent, and towards the end it culminates with a shorter set conducted by Williams, then another conductor (e.g. Lockhart) doing some classical repertoire, then the 1812 overture for the finale, followed by fireworks.
 
Because Williams' set is short, the event is so close to Film Night, and it happens on a Tuesday, it's usually not so well-attended by members of this forum. Film Night is a bigger deal for us. But @rpvee and myself both attended last year, and personally I really enjoyed the whole thing and can't wait to go again this year. Plus last year the Williams program from Tanglewood on Parade didn't overlap with the Film Night program at all.

Man, I went last year and even donated.  Didn't realize there was  a preorder yesterday.  But logged in before 10 today, and was able to get seats in section 6 for Saturday.  So all good.  Haven't had seats in a couple of years so splurged.  but man the prices.  See you all there!

I was refreshing the page constantly, like once per second, and the button finally appeared exactly where you'd expect. I think it was pretty well timed to appear right at 10. I didn't have to wait in any virtual queues or anything, but then I went in afterward and bought a ticket for Tanglewood on Parade, and that one had a queue.

Got some good seats in section 8! That was surprisingly easy this year.

I got 3 tickets in the back of the shed, 30 dollars each. Very happy 

Well, got one Section 7. Might be obstructed view as it was much cheaper than others ($99 vs $159), but gets me in the Shed and I can always upgrade at the last minute. I would only have paid full price right away for a Section 1 seat in the first few rows.

Finally got in, my wife really wanted to do the lawn again, but we're booked for Saturday. Hope to meet a bunch of yous guys there again.

Welcome to Saturday at Tanglewood.  After performing so many of my older, rarely performed pieces last night, I thought that for tonight we would play the Throne Room and End Credits on repeat for two hours.  

Last year I spent $65.50 per ticket, including fees, to sit in section 20. I recommend the shed, and not the lawn, if you want to see the stage. And buy your tickets right at the onsale time, because they usually sell pretty fast.

I don’t think there is anything but his music that people should learn about John Williams, by simply listening to it. This level of obsession about another person - any person for that matter - is nothing short of toxic and borderline neurotic. Just listen to the man’s music and stop analyzing every single thing he said and did, like he was Jesus. The guy even dresses like JW, he looks like an obsessed person. And he is supported in this obsession by some people like it was a normal thing. The amount of time and money he must be putting into worshiping another man is crazy. I really feel sorry for this guy for not finding something truly meaningful in his life other than worshiping a 92-year-old American composer.
Pathetic and revolting.
