Pegg being a Trek fan and promising a story that's a bit more thoughtful gives me hope.

I do find it a bit disturbing that his last worded post was this:

New Star Trek Series Rumored To Be Set Before TNG
QuoteA trusted source has chimed in and told me that it looks like the show will be a seasonal anthology, which means the first season will be set post-Undiscovered Country. After that the entire Star Trek universe is potentially open. So those of you hoping for a post-Dominion War show... don't give up hope. That could come some day.

Looks great to me! Even if you were to skip evaluating him physically, his mental vitality is enviable at any age.
And thanks for posting!

I wouldn't mind a little Birdman vs Spider-Man action.

But he's not a Jwfan. He's just a fan of this newest Jungle Book. He offers zero comments on any other thread. Can't we change him to Jdfan2234?
And members like SafeUnderHill tend to lurk exclusively within Tolkien threads. Are you suggesting we change their usernames to reflect them being fans of Shore's work?
Wait... nevermind. -

No song matches the recording we got a few months ago?
I think you're looking for track 21: Mowgli Wins The Race.

I remember Ford getting a bunch of criticism when the TFA trailer was released, with many saying it was obvious he didn't know how to play Han Solo anymore. I think his performance in the actual film proved otherwise. Let's just wait and see.

It's really interesting how McQuarrie's initial designs still look great on film almost 40 years later. They really don't feel dated or out of place IMO. I feel like even if you look at them objectively, you wouldn't think "wow, that looks straight out of the 70s." I suppose part of this could be contributed to how Star Wars itself has stayed in the public consciousness during those 40 years, but still.

Wow! This looks like it's going to have a lot of really cool moments for Williams' score to shine.
Having never read the book, I am uncertain about what to expect from the film, but I'm happy it feels like it is going to be more fantastical than I originally though.

Sad to hear of his passing. Really glad he got to reprise his role in TFA before he went.

I really, really enjoy the score for Batman Begins. Zimmer was able to escape from mostly all prior clichés associated with the genre, and, much like the film itself, forge out into bold new territory while still staying honorable to the core of the film. The additional warmth that comes as a result of JNH coming on board helps to elevate this score even further.
Despite that long-winded response, I'd actually have to go with The Dark Knight. Taking what came before and building on it even further with tracks like "Like A Dog Chasing Cars" (as Loert mentioned), I think Zimmer and Co. are able to ultimately craft a masterpiece score that works on nearly all levels. The entire sequence where Batman is trying to save the hostages while fighting off the SWAT team at the same time is easily one of my favorite scoring moments (https://youtu.be/ZFSqcqK3KB4?t=38s). -

There's nothing quite as cruel to John Williams' music as a middle school marching band.
Intriguingly, it also works the other way around: there is nothing as cruel to a middle school marching band as having to try and nail the performance of some of John Williams' music.

No, I'm going to assume he just really liked the movie Interstellar, as did quite a lot of people for that matter.

At least we got Goldsmith back to do a great score for it.
