  1. We didn't need five, now we don't need six.
  2. If he never did anything else, Johnson's place in the composing firmament would be assured, by The Avengers, alone.
  3. Unpopular opinion, but... I've never liked Tom Baker as The Doctor, but there is no getting away from the monumental influence that he had on the show.
  4. That's the question, isn't it. Usually, when a companion, or a Doctor leaves, there's quite a bit of publicity, and most of it from Auntie. This time, the BEEB is keeping well and truly schtum.
  5. I'm not sure if I can hear it either, @Thor, but if JW likes him, then he likes him
  6. The way they handled Eccleston leaving was shameful. The way they handled Baker leaving was also shameful.
  7. Agreed. Since its return, four companions have left after one season (I don't count the specials). It's more likely that either Gibson, or Auntie, chose not to renew her contract.
  8. Apparently, Millie Gibson has been fired from DOCTOR WHO, to be replaced by Varada Sethu (nope; me, neither). It's nowhere on the BBC news website, and it's not on Wiki, which is usually pretty good at updating these sort of things. All there is, is a load of clickbait from The Mail Online, etc. Anyone know anything?
  9. It's very direct. Holst, Walton, Vaughan Williams, Elgar, Sullivan, Butterworth, Bliss, Delius, Bax; JW loves them, all.
  10. Good answer. I would put a "laugh" emoticon there, except that your post is too true to be taken in jest.
  11. Have I missed something? What's there to understand (or not understand) about Star Wars?
  12. It's not that uncommon. Give us both credit, Alex
  13. Agreed, Alex. It's a good record, but STILL CRAZY... is just beyond. It's his best album by a country mile.
  14. That was easy. PT scores, by a country mile
  15. Not a cue, but... I guess that the holy grail of first performances must be May 29th, 1913, at the Théatre des Champs-Elysées, Paris. Oh, to be there, at that seismic event.
  16. SS: It's just the prototype, but it's gonna be great. GL: It's gonna be great. SS: It's gonna be great. GL: It's gonna be great.
  17. (insert your name here) versus one of the most corrupted, evil, avaricious organisations that's ever existed. Yeah... not gonna happen.
  18. Sorry, Ridley, but I'm not shaving. You're going to have to airbrush my pubes. Could we airbrush your performance, as well?
  19. Doesn't that one have Fiona Volpe? Yes, pleeeeease Thanks, Mike. You've just saved me two hours
  20. Either the "Prologue and Main Title' for SUPERMAN (just to see Donner run onto the studio floor, and mess-up the take ), or "The Final Conflict". What that cue must have sounded like, with the choir, I can't imagine.
  21. Ok, guys; this is a proper question, asked without a hint of irony: Is the Holiday Special meant to be - in any way - any kind of a sequel/prequel to STAR WARS or THE SPLINTER OF THE MIND'S EYE? I understand that the HS introduces Boba Fett. Apart from that, I know nowt about it.
