A24 got a reaction from bruce marshall in Netflix Terminator series (Production IG)
What about Terminator The Musical?
And both franchises have in common that only their first two entries are great.

Trekkies with their "Star Trek is better than everything" have no choice but to like it.

Predictable? Not in this context. You didn't even know Spielberg had a boat!

A24 got a reaction from Sweeping Strings in What Is The Last Film You Watched? (Older Films)
One of the better sci-fi movies from the last 10 years. And largely unknown to the public.

You can't trust RT. Disney owns the critics! And many of the 'audience' over there follow the critics' lead.

A24 got a reaction from bruce marshall in What's the last vinyl you played?
It's easier to find vinyl than CDs in the shops these days. And good luck buying a CD player in an actual electronics store!

Williams probably kept scoring Star Wars just to avoid doing Ready Player One.

A24 got a reaction from Edmilson in The DCU - DC Universe
And that was exactly what was so terrible in The Rise Of Skywalker. Everything looked clumsy and classless, at least in the first hour, which was all I could stomach. Yes, the writing is terrible but that can be compensated for with strong imagery/storytelling, it is the art of 'moving images' after all, but there was none of that either. It's completely bereft of art.

A24 got a reaction from Bilbo in The DCU - DC Universe
Abrams is one of the worst directors ever. Not only a bad director in every way (The Rise Of Skywalker is easily the worst Star Wars movie in history and his clumsy direction and filming has got a lot to do with that), but he has no artistic personality none whatsoever.

To be honest, I didn't like any aspect of that movie. Yes, it's professionally made and there's lots of money behind it, but Spielberg's approach, the way he and Kaminski told the story had no effect on me (save for a few shots here and there) and even rubbed me the wrong way. A 'similar' movie that worked much, much better, IMO, is Cloverfield. It doesn't have good dialogue, nor interesting characters, but the visual storytelling pulled me in and nicely compensated for all the film's weaknesses.

To me, Jim's New Life is one of Williams more memorable themes. Or do people only think of military marches and fanfares when they say "theme"?

A24 reacted to Naïve Old Fart in Upcoming Films
It's interesting that a sequel that has such a lot going for it and is the continuation of a beloved film, can offer...well...like you said: "nothing". 2019 amazes me and moves me to tears, every time I watch it. 2049 leaves me wondering what's for dinner.

A24 reacted to Nick1Ø66 in What Is The Last Film You Watched? (Older Films)
Interesting thing about Jurassic Park is, if they actually made a movie true to the book, it would have to be rated R because it's very violent. I remember I read that book before I saw the film, and I thought it read as very cinematic, but the movie ended up looking nothing like I imagined. It's regretable that it's Spielberg's kids vision of Jurassic Park that's become the way pop culture perceives that story, when the book is radically different in tone and much more interesting, but sadly overshadowed.
