I own it all, except for Calling All Stations.

See my above quote on "COS" and give it a chance.

Those are the unproggy Genesis albums that were looking for ways to enter the pop charts. A lot of Genesis fans look down upon them.

I certainly don't look down upon "Fading Lights", and "Since I Lost You" (possibly the saddest Genesis song, ever).

Oh come on! That's a real 80's gem!

This actually reminds me of what is probably the first pop song/video I really became aware of when I was a kid. It was on TV a lot on shows like Top Pop and Countdown.

It's still brilliant!

If John Williams is the Aha of film music, then I should find myself a different favorite film composer.

It seriously freaked me out as a kid.

Bob Mould just put out a new album yesterday that sounds really cool on my first listen.  I was never a big Husker Du fan, even back in my more punk-rock-lovin' days, but his solo stuff of the past 5 years is just really cool guitar power pop.

Puff Daddy and Bad Boy family announce reunion concert for Biggie's birthday

Puff Daddy was, believe it or not, the first concert I ever went to (it was actually most of these same guys - Puff Daddy, Mase, The LOX, Lil Kim, Usher, Busta Rhymes, probably some others).  Hey, not my choice, the GF I had at the time was heavily into all this.  We were among the only white people at the Worcester Centrum :P

Charles Aznavour will never stop to amaze me.

He certainly have the most complex discography in history.  One day, it will have to be challenged and documented, really!

The french original songs, their multiples versions, alternates ones... and all the versions of his songs he recorded in english, german, italian and spanish.. using sometimes the instrumental track from the original french versions, but also often using brand new orchestrations.. and then again for each of them multiples versions and unreleased ones...

The half of the non-french songs are still unreleased on CD and can only be found on singles and LPs.

This is so complicated to have access to all this stuff... internationaly!

There is actually 1 217 entries in my songs catalog!!!

Wasn't he one of the safer radio chansonniers? Like gilbert Bécaud? More like a variété singer?

Well, Aznavour like Bécaud (and they worked togheter on some songs), are Singer-Songwriter.

For me a variety signer, is like Joe Dassin.
