The Firm (1993). Two person household - Tom Cruise, Jeanne Tripplehorn, no children. Cruise is hardly ever at home because he's so busy with his new job (even before stuff starts happening). The LEGO set is from 1992. Tripplehorn's character is clearly an AFOL.

I have that set. It was one of my favourites as a kid. Still have it.

I have the 2nd release of the Ultimate Millennium Falcon sitting here but haven't been able to build it yet.

Part of it is that my mom knew I wanted it and and before she passed, set aside the funds for me to get it.

I also have the smaller Falcon I built 8 years ago and an x-wing my daughter got me for my birthday last year.

I did write down some instructions on a piece of paper when I took it apart again some 25+ (more like 30, possibly) years ago. I probably still have it hidden away in a box somewhere…

I *adored* that train as a child, always wanted to have it. It was always too expensive, though. My first train stuff was an assortment of various 4.5V (battery) and 12V bits and pieces I "inherited" from an older kid - all the blue tracks with white sleepers you mentioned, although with the powered centre rail. Pretty sure most of it came from this set. I later got several sets from the 80s train range (with the grey tracks), though never a full train set (and never one of the newer transformers; the few grey 12V remote switches I had were hooked up to the old blue transformer with wires). I think the first new train set I got (as a present for what I think is the first Christmas I remember) was the 7810 Push-Along Steam Engine, so I'm very fond of the near-exact anniversary replica LEGO released a few years ago:

I believe I had several of these engines in the 70's. I had a huge box full of the lego tracks, when they were the blue rails and white ties. Plus quite a few of the older sets, like the station and a cargo depot. plus I had quite a few of the individual  rail cars and I had a battery operated passenger train set too.

The overall idea isn't anything special, but the execution is wonderful.

Excellent. And they even used proper Jaws music for the teaser this time:

…the Instagram post even reads: "Da-dum…da-dum…da-dum, da-dum da-dum….etc 🦈"

Looks smaller than the original Ideas submission. But much better!

Oh man, I hadn't realized this site had a thread about Lego, I only just got back into it myself a few short months ago and have already dropped a little more than I'm comfortable admitting on several sets, including Rivendell, Barad Dur, The Avengers Tower, Notre Dame and the really cool Retro Radio...

That Jaws set looks amazing. Though I kinda wish they had included the blonde swimmer as an extra minifig after seeing the ad lego put up, but I'm really pleased they used the actual music instead of some generic copycat stuff this time.

They should have had him say "Smile, you son of a brick" at the end. And included the shooting star in the set.

Kiss your savings goodbye.

Chrissie will be easy to put together from existing minifig pieces.

I haven't been that excited about a LEGO set ever since they announced the Home Alone house! :w00t: I'll be getting this immediately when it comes out; I've already made a reservation at my local LEGO store.

Just thought of the fact that this set has virtually everything you'd need to remake the entire second half of the movie! All that's missing is scuba gear, pieces to make the entire cage, and more extensive ocean and shore backdrops. Maybe some alternate hairs if you really want to be close.
