diskobolus 3
Who else does this? I like to have a couple posters adorning the walls in my dorm room for decor purposes. I have two A.I. posters mounted and framed, an Empire Strikes Back SE framed, and just bought Return of the King theatrical and the Hedwig teaser poster for HPSS from a vendor here at school. Mr. Breathmask 555
I'd like to do it, but I don't have connections in the right places, and that makes it expensive.I do have some posters, although there are none on my wall right now. I have three Simpsons posters (two big ones, including the full cast one and a smaller poster), a poster of The Matrix and one of Kill Bill Vol.
fommes 154
I don't have any spots left, and the right shop is not quite in my immediate neighbourhood.I do have the Indy posters, The Empire Strikes Back, and a teaser poster of Return of the Jedi. Oh, and a whole bunch of X-Files posters. The teaser poster of Fellowship of the Ring is great too; the one on which Frodo looks down, and not up. John Crichton 4
Very occasionally. When I worked at a movie theater in high school the manager would give away both unused posters and those that we were done with. I got the Star Wars Trilogy SE, the A New Hope SE, and Star Trek: First Contact. Then I had a friend who worked at a video store for a few years and got me The Patriot. And a couple of years ago I bought the first Two Towers poster, that shot of Orthanc and Barad-Dur is just so damn cool!

jasonblueeyes 0
Since 1991 I have been collecting posters and now have about 1100. Most video stores will sell them or give them away every week and I'm always there to grab them. I got many Williams, spielberg posters.

stewdog1 50
The only two that I currently have are the Star Trek: Generations and First Contact teaser posters. These two are probably the best ST posters of all time. The GEN is the one w/ the Ent D flying through the Star Trek shield. No Picard or Kirk. The FC poster is the one w/ the Ent E flying from the Borg cube. Both of these framed and prominently displayed in my office/guest bedroom.

Johnnyecks 33
I collected some movie posters over the years. The main one I wanted was, which was the hardest to get, was an original "Creepshow" with the Crypt guy in the ticket booth. Michele got that for me last Christmas, and it was then that I knew that I would eventually marry this chick. All because of a poster! LOLBut I have posters of my fav's (Gremlins, Poltergeist, Usual Suspects.. the rare one w/ the watch spoiler mistake.., and all the Harry Potters). I get them matted and framed, I know they loose their monetary value this way and as a collector this is a taboo sin but it keeps them looking really nice and, best of all, there is no sun damage to them.Only prob. is space. I can hang a total of 4 posters in my house. That's it. ... 4. So, I have to rotate them. It's a pain in the ass, but it keeps the feeling fresh.I just hope my poster wall dosen't fall down. THat would be sucky.

CYPHER 1
I collect movie postcards more than anything else. I don't know how this compares with other countries and regions, but many places here have free postcard stands, generally full of junk postcards, but they'll often have one for a forthcoming movie or DVD release and I'll pick these up, no matter what the film. I've got a whole stash of them over the last few years but my access to these stands has decreased significantly since the start of the year and there aren't nearly as many movie postcards now as there used to be. Only rarely will I actully buy one of these babies from a specialist store. Having so many available for free has spoilt me. I have about 10-15 large-scale movie posters, but only a few of them are up on my walls. The rest are rolled up in my cupboard and most of them are for crap films anyway, which I picked up when I worked briefly in a cinema oh so many years ago. Henry B 50
I just put up the cheap posters I get with magazines or sheet music; they're not very good, but they improve my feng shui.

Unlucky Bastard 7,782
I have a few, but not much space to hang them. The only posters I have hung up are framed ones of the theatrical sheets of all three The Lord of the Rings films. Plus, hidden under my bed I have the US Theatrical of Independence Day, the '97 Special Editions of the Star Wars Trilogy and US Theatrical of TPM and AOTC. I look forward to getting Revenge of the Sith. Oh, and I also have the 1977 US Sheet of Star Wars, unfortunately it's laminated.Hopefully, I'll have enough wall space some day in the future to frame and hang them. nihil 0
i have 2 huge ones from the ringwraiths, because they were the characters that really came alive for me in the movie in regards to the book, that and peter jackson sees aragorn in a similar fashion...and the two towers huge one with urthanc and baradur...i have a smaller poster of the ringwraiths but alas it's not up yet, they're not framed...i wanted the huge terminal one, because it so painfully feels like my life...the one with him the middle and everybody blurred out going somewhere and underneath him the 'life is waiting caption'...i told my therapist 'sigh, this is me'....i really want that one, but heaven knows how, we don't really have many shops that sell that kind stuff, i got the lotr ones because of the mania...i've asked at the movie theaters if they'd be willing to sell me me a copy after the movie goes out of the cinema...but so far nobody can give me a straight answer...ARGH...i would also really love anything related to the millenium tv series which i love...
