Naïve Old Fart 9,533
I've just finished series ,and ,of the Capaldi era (not watched any of series ,yet). Two generally good series, and I miss Danny. Is it me, or is Osgood sexy? The only misstep is SLEEP NO MORE. It's a bit too clever-clever. Not one of Gatiss' best (that's probably THE UNQUIET DEAD, from series ). I'm warming to Capaldi, but I'm champing at the bit, to see who's next. There's a rumour going around that the next Doctor... will be the 1st... nightscape94 965
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion The title might sound pretty ridiculous, but the show itself is very interesting. A pseudo-mecha anime that is basically a long form political chess match with some mystical powers thrown in for good measure. Admittedly, most of the characters are fairly unlikable, especially as the series progresses, and I would have liked for them to have explored this inexplicable ability called Geass (Ghee ehs, got Geese) in even more detail but the ending is so good that it can reshapes your opinion about what you've seen. I feel like I need to watch it again to appreciate all of its moving parts.

publicist 4,643
The last season of 'Mad Men'. There was one brilliant scene when main character Don Draper, lost and confused, ends up in a buddhist hippie camp. He finds his ommmm and finally, in this Big Sur paradise unspoiled by crass commercialism, he overcomes his anxiety attacks and daydreams: all the hippies singing unison while holding cokes in the air (this was an actual 1971 Coca Cola commercial called 'I'd like to buy the world a Coke'). The irony in context of the show is priceless...and true, of course.

publicist 4,643
There are about 7 or 8 other characters on which you can hang your 'appeal' yardstick. I m not a huge fan of the MM melodramatics, either, but it's generally more entertaining than not and while i have skipped 3 seasons, the last one had many jolly highlights (there are some priceless oneliners by the grey-haired guy that early Woody Allen would have been proud of) that a barrage of new Netflix etc. shows just have not. What melodramatics? Force kids to watch Mad Men and they will complain nothing happens in this show. Now show them the ending of Better Call Saul S3 and they'll go "Yeah, that's more like it! Burn, baby, burn!"
