Little Ghost 7,901 Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Does anybody else think this is too obvious? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xBEidzHy1Qthis is made by the same guy who made the "Luke and Leia theme in the ROTS childbirth scene"
Incanus 5,858 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Does anybody else think this is too obvious?this is made by the same guy who made the "Luke and Leia theme in the ROTS childbirth scene"Yeah I found it to be a bit too obvious. I know this guy seems to want to stay faithful to JWs themes but that is going a little overboard. And I found it inappropriate and cloying to be used as some kind of Anakin & Obi Wan friendship theme.
Little Ghost 7,901 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Revenge-Of-The-Cut-Fan-edit-of-Star-Wars-Revenge-Of-The-Sith/topic/11696/page/19/here is the thread for his edit, if anybody is interested (there are no links BTW)
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,981 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Your video does not deliver what it promises!
gkgyver 1,647 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VkZwV1v5ZEDoes anyone else think the theme written for this flick (right at the end) would actually improve Star Trek 2009?
Quintus 5,727 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody I'm interested in learning Lucas' reaction to this and whether or not he'll sue. We all know he no sense of humour when it comes to copyright.Anyway, this looks like a lot of... er, fun.
indy4 159 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Well, he allows all of those Star Wars jokes on Family Guy, some of which insult the saga. But then again, they ask permission before they do anything, so I don't know for this. Also I know that at least for music, parodies are legal.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,981 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Star Wars porn is nothing new.
Wojo 2,458 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 I'm not sure this is the right place to post such a video, but it is what the internet is for.Use discretion at work. Sorry if it's banned in your country.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=357J1zMJb34But it's a dork.
Elmo Lewis 7 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 When the 4chan community see that video, there'll be no taking it out of their discussions.
gkgyver 1,647 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 The way she looks, there is no wonder she spends all her life studying animal penises.

Omen II 1,271 Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Will anyone be getting the new album Paradiso, featuring Hayley Westenra singing the music of Ennio Morricone? She has such a beautiful voice. Maestro Morricone is obviously quite smitten.
Melange 448 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Great how they weaved Horner's music into it . It must have taken them weeks to make this.
Quintus 5,727 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Yep. I suggest you check out the Robocop one immediately. It's freaking brilliant.

Quintus 5,727 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Thanks Marc, I've just spent the past hour watching those wonderful videos. Shame about the image quality but it's definitely nice to see Williams in action and not via a shitty camcorder for a change. The Raiders March is a cracking good performance:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sahZ-WOz1uk&sns=emAnd I hadn't noticed this ace Jaws performance before either:
Maglorfin 213 Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 I don't know if anybody already posted this but I find it very interesting.

Incanus 5,858 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I don't know if anybody already posted this but I find it very interesting. Thats by GoodMusician, who is a member here.An excellent podcast series. I hope it will receive more episodes soon.I do not know if it was poetic license from GoodMusician but I wondered before why he named one of the themes Other Worlds. As we saw a glimpse of the actual written score it became clear. The footage in the video shows the sheet music during that part of the analysis and it just has performance direction Otherworldly for the musicians not actually naming the theme other worlds. But I guess it is as good a name for the material as any.
tharpdevenport 4 Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Well known radio show host praises the NBC News theme:
Muad'Dib 1,951 Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I recently asked on the Quick Question thread if there were any interviews around where Johnny talked about his experience on Fiddler on the Roof, and I found the following video. While it isn't with Johnny himself, the director talks about working with Williams and violinist Isaac Stern: The Williams part starts about 1:45 but I recommend watching the whole thing. It's wonderful.
Little Ghost 7,901 Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 You mean, it needs more "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
Little Ghost 7,901 Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Perhaps it should be in the version when Saruman discovers Wormtounge has thrown the Palantir down...
Omen II 1,271 Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 It's not exactly a YouTube clip, but there is an excellent concert of film music mostly by Bernard Herrmann that you can watch (in two parts) at http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/p00kld89 John Wilson conducted the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra last Sunday in Glasgow's City Halls. Did anyone go to this?I'm not sure if the link will work outside the UK, but you can but try.
Incanus 5,858 Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Alas the video doesn't work for those outside UK.
Mark_73 0 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Most of us might know the featurette from the Jaws Anniversary DVD. I found another one with different footage and interviews.I think it's even better, maybe because it was not so long ago when they recorded this. The narrator might not be everybodystaste though...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nj4q3NaPl60&feature=related
tharpdevenport 4 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Something else probably none of us can do:
Quintus 5,727 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 A really warm performance. Alex North would be proud.Still one of the most beautiful melody's ever written.

tharpdevenport 4 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Hilarious, but still I feel just the wrong way to handle it; don't they have tow trucks in that country? #!

Melange 448 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I like that Roseanne score. A very comfy 'homely' feel to it.Oh, I want this.
