Another good poster, missed.

And Bryant, he was good.

Still, we've got some decent new posters here too. BloodBoal's a favourite of the new blood, as is Chaac. There's probably more, but names escape me.

If I have caused offense to anyone who has departed because of me, I'm sorry. Likewise, I keep trying to drive others away but it's just not working.

Where's that CrusherComix guy that was pretty active in his Williams and TRANSFORMERS collecting?

JWFan is like Hollywood in a certain sense. Celebrities come and go. There are only few Meryl Streeps and Clints Eastwoods here.

I got chased away a few years ago. Then I stopped being stupid and decided to have a sense of humor. :P Ray Barnsbury was the first to welcome me back...whatever happened to that guy?

Still reading regularly to keep up with releases and news (War Horse trailer music ftw!). Just not posting anymore. Except for right now, apparently.

I think this is your first post in over a year

It's kind of weird to see active posters suddenly drop off the face of the forum (or Earth).

Mr. Breathmask is another one that recently hasn't been posting.

All though I can totally understand if real life happens to get in the way of such things. All though I do chat with Breathmask on MSN from time to time and he said he has been really busy with real life lately.

Yeah, I've seen him around.

I know how it goes with real life interfering with more important priorities online (;)), and with interests changing and personal frustrations and whatnot. Heck, most of the forums I've actively participated on over the years are sites where I don't post anymore - JWfan is really the only forum where I'm an active member right now. I still lurk on some of those sites to varying degrees, whereas others I haven't visited in years. But all that being said, it's still sad to see someone go. And fun to see them return. :)

What could be possibly more important that posting here every day?

Using a mobile device to post makes it incredibly easy. It's no different to sending a text message.

School has ended for the summer, so I have a bit more time on my hands now.

Still, my interests have shifted a bit, so I'm just not as active here anymore as I used to be.

What do you mean? You don't like film music anymore? Or is it just about message board?

Just a quick note to let everyone know Mr. Crichton is still alive and doing well, but he's not coming back anytime soon. He even retired his moderator status.

He stopped by for a vist at the new casa the other day.

It must be tough being on the lam for so long. At least he's doing well.

Hey Steef, I hear there's an opening for Mod here. You gonna put your name down lad? I'd say you've got about the same chances as me, which bodes well, er...

He was a bit of a perv around Miss Padme and to others he'd get a mouth on him when he'd had a drink or a smoke. So I heard, anyway.

No, that was me.

From President of the Forum to this.....

Maybe that's what did it...;)

Since I'm giving up Mod status I figured I ought to pop back for a mo and explain myself. Thanks Mark for saying something. Just suffering from board burnout plus being busy in "real life", no personal issues with anyone here, life crisis, etc. And I figured if I do end up hanging around regularly again there's really no reason for me to be a Mod. I'm still deeply honored that I was asked to do it, but Mark, Jason, Marc and Ricard have things well covered here. Another mod is just redundant. I'm still on Facebook and am friends with most everyone here that has a page there, and will still be around there. Look up John Lamm if not and send me a friend request.

And I HAVE to drop my 2 cents in on this: Super 8 was friggin' awesome, saw it twice and loved it even more the second time. And the score is Giacchino's best film score yet. Why on earth we still have so many people crapping all over him will always be beyond me, he's a top composer in his prime. Enjoy it.

I praised Super 8 very highly. Same can't be said for Monte Carlo and Cars 2...

Good to hear from you John and that you're well :)

Now if we can get Artyjeffrey to return!

I like to think of the world outside of JWFan as the matrix. This is reality.

And some members are just not strong enough to deal with reality. Instead they return to the Matrix and work for the man.

No, this is The Grid.

I got in.

And now I can't get out. Ever.

If this is The Grid, please get Olivia Wilde to join us. Otherwise, it's just Hell.

Her time is tight (not the only thing that is), no time for clean up. Sloppy seconds will have to do.
