I Shazam'd the opening track and got the same thing...and then Shazam'd the end of the same track and it lists it as 'Fanfare and Prologue'.

I actually agree with this. I just want the OST to have a good presentation. That's the foundation on which we "build" the rest of the score. Usually the movie hits and then we start to figure out what was left off, and the FYC comes along and helps to fill in some of the gaps (sidenote: might be interesting to guess which FYC tracks will be on the OST and in what capacity). In that regard, I'm cool with the FYC having those short tracks and moments of underscore. Now I'm left a little worried about how the OST will turn out. Suffice it to say that while I'm happy with the FYC, I hope there's a lot on the OST that was left off of it.

While the release of the digital copy two days earlier probably doesn't require such a close eye on a physical release, the moment I hear that it MIGHT be available there, I'll drive over in a bmmm-tssss.

While I wouldn't call myself "active" on these forums, I've always returned to them - come to read everyone's thoughts on the latest scores (especially of the maestro). While there's few people I personally know who respect Williams (let alone film music), it's always comforting to come here and read up on everyone's thoughts and stories.

I will be listening to it tonight and posting impressions in the appropriate thread(s)! Still can't believe I got it though! It's a 30 min drive and I arrived there 10 min before close. Just checked the first shop across from Spaceship Earth and there it was!

About halfway through right now, and am really enjoying the mix of themes, old and new. For what it's worth, it's making a stronger first impression on me than The Force Awakens.
