Williams' The Lost World OST CD has gone Out Of Print
KittBash replied to Jay's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
If we only knew then what we know now! Took a year and a half but hey wouldn't trade the new La La land discs in for anything (well maybe a version with the teeth on the booklet ) Now if Disney does the same thing with Star Wars and lets one of the labels do their thing with those I'm ok if it dissapears from physical media for a little while! Ah to dream the impossible dream. -
Maybe I need to give Tintin another few listens... hmm...

Dreamworks To Remake Ghost In A Shell Into A Live Action Movie

I'm in... bought time they gave her a lead in an action movie. -
And as a neighbor to the east in New Brunswick (the apparently "bilingual province") I'm always surprised how many primarily English speakers also live in Quebec! Not that it's a problem but the province is primarily seen as a Francais only spot. Either way, with what has happened here in Quebec in the past little while, Bespin is right, we are all a little raw but glad we've got JWfan to escape to... most of the time Now back to topic as I go dig out my copy of Fiddler

The Rise of Skywalker Star Wars IX The Rise of Skywalker (JJ Abrams 2019)
KittBash replied to Jay's topic in General Discussion
Either way, if they do digital Leia or not. There's no way to make everyone happy, it's the nature of these things. Either way, whomever started the rumor that the news outlets picked up, though probably an overzealous fan or reporter, should really chill and let people mourn their friend and family member before filling their inboxes for requests to comment on the deceased' future -

Favorite Expansions - Star Trek the Motion Picture (La La Land) - Dennis the Menace (La La Land - it's a guilty pleasure for some reason it gets stuck in my head) Wish - Mulan (yeah have a soft spot for that one too) -

I disagree there... If you were like me growing up you caught many movies in progress on TV and didn't get to see the opening credits or sadly hear the opening titles... That's how I found many a Williams score back in the day as a kid... I got to know his sound and if I thought it was him I waited till the end credits and hoped it was him... Might have been fooled a few times but was always excited to see it was him at the end or if they cut off the end credits on tv or they were too small had to go to blockbuster or the music store to see if I could find out if it was him. So "bullshit" I think not.

Michael Giacchino's SKY HIGH (2005) - 2017 Intrada CD
KittBash replied to Jay's topic in General Discussion
Well, this is a pleasant surprise to see but not a pleasant surprise for the wallet Was hoping this would see the light of day at some point -
I see that Sonia's / Player Piano's Star Wars Medley was included on page 2 of the thread... So I wanted to point out she also did the Superman theme as well. She does some neat stuff on her youtube channel like her on the spot challenges where she hears a piece then has to fully transpose the music in her head and play it on piano... on the spot. Not just the melody she does the counterpoints everything... pretty talented.

La-La Land Records' HOOK (2CD Expanded) Anticipation thread
KittBash replied to Jay's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
This is mostly for posterity but for those looking through old threads on this score, if you are looking for the 2012 Tim Burden Movie Magic Hook Special in which he talks with the boys at LaLa Land and John Takis that was posted earlier in this thread, the link, unfortunately, no longer works. That said I took a look through Tim's Soundcloud Archive and luckily he still has it there so here is the updated link for anyone interested. https://soundcloud.com/timburden/movie-magic-hook-special -

Jurassic Park 20th Anniversary OST (Digital only release)

For those curious it seems to be available in Canada so hopefully that means other countries are coming. -
Been going back and forth... and well back and forth on whether to order this. I bought the Varese 2CD club release the day it came out and do play the score regularly in fact I sat down last night with the samples from the site and the 2nd CD from the Varese set and played the pieces back to back to see what the deal was with the remastering of the 2nd disc. Um... I hope it's just because the samples are compressed but I didn't hear a huge jump between the two, yes it's defiantly been mixed and EQ'd a little hotter and a bit brighter but really not enough for me to say Oh wow the Varese disc is a frisbee now! Maybe someone with the real disc in the next little bit can comfirm that it really is just because the la la land site and maybe get us a sample that doesn't sound like it was compressed in a tin can? Either way great release La La Land there are a lot of people who didn't have this that I hope are going to add it to their favorites list after hearing what you've done!

The two sets do actually have all the music from the suite... and I'm wondering if the piano version of the theme on one of the discs in Vol 2 isn't actually the full version played in the track with Shirley Walker that is being omitted from the repress of Vol 1

MV, over at the fsm forum, has shed a little light onto the future of La La Land and Warner Animation releases going forward

32 of the 65 "first season" episodes isn't too shabby! One can hope that someday the others will show up but really who's complaining! This is still great news! For anyone interested in seeing what BTAS episodes are on these sets and what still remains un-released I've started a spreadsheet. here If I get the time I may indicate episodes that are represented in the "Gotham City Overture" so folks can see just how much of it is really represented in the new music released anyway. I've gone through and added where each theme appears on the releases from "Gotham City Overture" as it turns out people should chill about it not being on Vol 1 Second Edition as it's represented on the 6 discs anyway!

No you aren't the only one! I think I'm going to explode I'm so excited! I was starting to think it was never going to happen! The wait for this one is going to kill me!
