A24 got a reaction from Yavar Moradi in The ALIEN FRANCHISE Appreciation thread.
‘ALIEN’ will re-release in theaters on April 26

A24 got a reaction from Andy in The ALIEN FRANCHISE Appreciation thread.
In 1979 I thought Alien was the scariest movie ever. Now I think it's a masterpiece in mood, design and direction (storytelling).
It also makes me wonder what the frack happened to Ridley Scott.

I once bought it for a friend's birthday. It's probably worth its weight in gold now.

Anyway, I think it was because of Omar Sharif.

Hey, that was my mom's favorite flick, together with Lawrence Of Arabia.

A24 got a reaction from GerateWohl in The Movie Critic (Quentin Tarantino's supposed final movie)
"They’re all my children, but, I really do think Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is my best movie." - Quentin Tarantino

Yes. And in a way he ended his film series with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on a perfect note.

Let's hope his last movie won't be another Western, because let's face it, that's not his forte. Heck, even a Tarantino Bond movie would be better than a Western.

I only have it on CD-R and I forgot to write down the title of the CD. I might upload the track tomorrow so that you can hear it.

A24 got a reaction from Brónach in Villeneuve's DUNE
"David Lynch’s adaptation was disappointing. It was missing the power of Herbert’s novel. Villeneuve’s films are much more convincing. The characters are sketched out, they are very identifiable. It’s pure cinema. I speak regularly to Denis, filmmaker to filmmaker. We record our conversations, like Trufaut and Hitchcock." - James Cameron

You know me, guys, there can be only one, and even that one is not that great, but I like it.
Apparently Steven Wilson, who recently remixed Richard Wright's Wet Dream (recommended - check it out on your streaming service!), is now remixing David Gilmour's debut album.

Yes, it's a sad thing

That's an honor these days.

A24 reacted to Marian Schedenig in What are your favorite shots in a movie?
Disappointing that I can find hardly any stills from this on the net. Slocombe's cinematography is stunning.

Exactly. Never liked Ford as Jack Ryan.
