$26 or so. The "expanded/promotional motion picture score" was a CD-R with a single track at 55:28 long. And most of the tracks are glitchy and at half the volume of what they need to be. I knew it was too good to be true.

Yeah there is only one version that score and that's the original album that was re-issued once in the 90's.

*drum roll*... INDIANA JONES: THE SOUNDTRACKS COLLECTION

£25 from HMV. Not bad at all.

Great! So I guess for me it's a better idea not to order it now from the USA (and pay the import/customs charges), but to wait another month and a half and buy it directly in London HMV in January ... :shakehead:

Agh, I was trying to avoid buying anything else right now, but Intrada's got some good sellers right now.

Little Monsters - David Newman

Judgment Night - Alan Silvestri

If anyone is interested in those two or Michael Small's Black Widow, you should grab 'em now. Little Monsters is under 175 copies now, and the Silvestri and Small are both under 50 copies.

Short Circuit is probably not that popular amongst us film score fans. Though it's one I've been looking for, for a long while now.

It's one of the movies I saw a few times as a kid. Don't remember the score, but it's Shire, right? Should be decent.

Romeo And Juliet - Shakespearean Classics from Stage And Screen by Cliff Eidelman and performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra

I really really love The Tempest piece.

Apart from the Indy box I recently got:

Star Wars: A New Hope Special Edition (1997, didn't bother to buy it earlier because of the few new pieces - but now it was really inexpensive)

Walking with Beasts (Ben Bartlett)

Great Film Fantasies (conducted by Erich Kunzel)

Christus Apollo (Jerry Goldsmith)

Glory (James Horner)

Species (Christopher Young)

The Matrix - Ultimate Edition (Don Davis)

Born on the 4th of July

Most of these fortunately from Amazon market place or the like for a very reasonable price (either used or overstock) :o

Still waiting for:

The Golden Compass (Alexandre Desplat)

and Merlin (Rob Lane)

That's the guy who did those great pieces for Epcot...how's his music for that show?

I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. It's a single 17 minute track. I got around to listening to his Tapestry Of Dreams work, and some of it is pretty good. My brother edited down that 25 minute track to about 13 minutes, taking out the stupid song parts and the random kids saying "I dream of flying on a dinosaur..."

I have a 23:55 "Tapestry of Nations" track that doesn't have any such singing (though those lyrics do sound amusing...). I can PM you a link if you're interested. Do you have his piece for "IllumiNations" as well?

I have Epcot: Tapestry Of Dreams, which is 4 tracks: Reflections Of Earth, We Go On, Tapestry Of Dreams, and Promise. A PM of that track that you mentioned would be great, and I don't have his piece for IllumiNations either. I'll send BraviSEAmo! your way.

So I see on iTunes there's a version of the Casino Royale soundtrack with 25 cues, and a version with 38. Are both versions sold in stores, or are the bonus cues only available on iTunes?

Bonus cues are only available on iTunes. It sucked because I got the cd, and then realized if I wanted the extra tracks, I had to buy the whole album on iTunes. As for the music itself, its not much but there's some good stuff. You'll not only be able to get the complete part of the Madagascare chase, the pre-title music, and a very nice statement of Vesper's theme.

Ah, thanks guys.

Just got Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale (the latter on iTunes). My 2nd and 3rd Arnold soundtracks. I'm also about to download "You Know My Name" from iTunes.

Oh, El Camino Real isn't Reed's at his finest, trust me on it. :joy: Try Praise Jerusalem!, Armenian Dances, symphonies and suites for a start, and after that, Saxbabe might offer some more recommedations. ;)

Yup.

Still haven't had a chance to listen to it entirely, though. I don't want to interrupt my LotR listening experience with any other score.

That reminds me, it came yesterday, along with JATW.

indy4, did you order the good version of King Solomon's Mines?

Oh, are there different versions? I bought mine from Intrada (with bonus tracks).

Kościelec is a great piece - it gives me chills every time I listen to it. I had once an opportunity to climb that mountain, unfortunatelly the bad weather drove me back to the valley.

What I'm gonna be getting soon I didn't order myself but I have to repay the person back though. Michael Pipolo has once again done something extraordinary for me. He helped me out before by buying the complete recordings for Return Of The King during that debacle and I of course paid him back in full. Well this time he's being generous once more and ordered the complete recordings for The Two Towers for me, which of course I will be paying him back as well for this.

So now the only one I got to get is Fellowship Of The Ring.
