Disney are following the Netflix pricing model I see. It's just £4.99 now, but eighteen months from now it'll be 7.99 for the standard package and 9.99+ for 4K on multiple devices.

What, Brooklyn 99? It's great!

Never heard of it but if it's NBC () then I'm very skeptical.

It's a 22 minute network comedy Alex.  Not your cup of tea.

Well to be fair, I've never once heard Alec Remers express an interest in comedy entertainment or talk about funny movies in fifteen years of posting here.

Exactly.

(Horrible) official poster for Netflix's The Witcher:

So far this is looking like a giant flop to capitalize on GOT's fame. It's like Eragon and the LOTR trilogy, King Solomon's Mines and Raiders of the Lost Ark, Justice League and The Avengers, Piranha and Jaws...

Actually this is the best thing I've seen about the series so far. Very nice.

In a Radio Times interview about his and Mark Gatiss' upcoming Dracula series, Steven Moffat reveals that he had a 'really good go' at trying to revive Columbo but that 'the rights are tied up really tight'. He thinks the show has 'the perfect format', apparently.

Does he mean the format of knowing who the bad guy from the beginning of the episode instead of it being a mystery, and just watching to see how Columbo catches him?

And also watching to see how the murderer attempts to get away with it!

Only 30 minutes per episode? That means I have to watch two in a row and there are only 8 in total.

Posted

Because it's only 30 minutes long. I'm used to watching TV shows that have episodes that are almost twice as long. I won't get my fill with only 30 minutes.

I have a weird thing where I like to not finish a season or show with just the finale. Need to leave at least 2 episodes to watch back-to-back to end it.

Cremeritis!

Anyone else keep accidentally liking other people's posts when they scroll down with their right thumb? I only just noticed I'd done this to an Alexcremers comment above, god knows then though. I keep noticing that I'm doing this lately. The little heart button is poorly placed.

On Facebook and Twitter, yes. But not on this forum. Clicking the heart once brings up the menu of like options. If you keep scrolling, you leave the menu without a selection and no like. Selecting the heart requires a second tap. Even a sustained hold just brings up the menu for the image file itself.

I must be somehow tapping the same button twice.

I'm getting all fingers and thumbs in me old age!

Due to huge success, they probably have a bigger budget now.
