Jim 6,125 Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Ah right, so can we hope for perhaps a hint of the theme then?
The Score Cleaner 9,271 Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Maybe. But if so, it will be being used by Blake Neely* so....
Jay 44,752 Posted July 25, 2019 Author Posted July 25, 2019 ‘Silicon Valley’ To Return For Sixth & Final Season in October
Jim 6,125 Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Since it already seemed to reach its natural conclusion last season, it'll need to go out with a bang in order to justify "one last job".
Jay 44,752 Posted July 26, 2019 Author Posted July 26, 2019 ‘Big Mouth’ Renewed for Three More Seasons at Netflix Great news to me, I love that show
Jay 44,752 Posted July 27, 2019 Author Posted July 27, 2019 Hulu Renews The Handmaid's Tale for a fourth season I gave up and Marcy is watching season 3 without me. She says its better than season 2 was, but I ain't going back in
Jim 6,125 Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Can that be enjoyed as a solo first season and leave it at that, quite satisfied?
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 11,615 Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Sadly the need for more content prohibits this.

First season hits some occasionally satisfying highs. And it ends where the book ends, as it should. Second season is nihilistic garbage.

Jay 44,752 Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 Mr Robot Season 4 (final season) teaser!
Disco Stu 15,517 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 The next season of the FX show American Crime Story will be about the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal. I really liked the OJ season but skipped the Versace one. Should be interesting. I’m kind of enjoying being old enough for era-defining events from my childhood to be dramatized as historical period pieces. Interesting that Lewinsky is a producer. I’m sympathetic to the modern view that she was unfairly treated by both the press and the Justice Department so I’m ok with it. Is that too political for the forum rules? https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/monica-lewinsky-produced-impeachment-set-as-next-american-crime-story-at-fx-1229819

Jay 44,752 Posted August 7, 2019 Author Posted August 7, 2019 We loved the OJ season, it was fantastic! The Versace season was really bad, after a while it became a show to watch with my wife but get things done on the phone during

Jim 6,125 Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 I can't believe how quickly they've turned around another season of The Good Place.
Jay 44,752 Posted August 10, 2019 Author Posted August 10, 2019 What do you mean? All 4 seasons have ran from September to January (or Feb)
rough cut 1,784 Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 I do hope that this is nothing more than a rumor. Oh, please don’t drag Superman into something like this... A Superman, Brightburn, And The Boys Crossover
Jay 44,752 Posted August 11, 2019 Author Posted August 11, 2019 They've actually already finished filming all of season 4
Disco Stu 15,517 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 I’m curious about the new Kirsten Dunst show on Showtime. Might give the first episode a download. This picture is reason enough..... just sayin’

Arpy 4,232 Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 I don't understand what a tv series could do or expand that isn't already covered in the film (which is long enough). 1 hour ago, Alexcremers said: Screw the movie! https://www.indiewire.com/2019/09/tarantino-plans-extended-once-upon-a-time-in-hollywood-netflix-miniseries-1202162622/
Jim 6,125 Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 I hope that antisuperhero crossover bandied about above doesn't come off. I've only got the final episode of The Boys left to watch, and it would be a shame to tarnish its top tier run with this pointless exercise. Just leave it be.

It’s a completely different format? It would actually work quite well for this film considering how anecdotal it is in parts. Not to mention over an hour of material was cut for the theatrical release, including entire characters like Tim Roth’s. All of this explained in the article you quoted...

A24 4,997 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 New reboot Battlestar Galactica from Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail: https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/09/battlestar-galactica-reboot-to-get-new-reboot-from-mr-robot-creator/
Jay 44,752 Posted September 20, 2019 Author Posted September 20, 2019 False reporting, Alex. It's not a reboot. It's a new story set in the same universe as the 2004 show.
Edmilson 11,439 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Really? Every site I read reported this as a reboot of the series! I'm glad they're not rebooting, however... the end of the 2004 version was pretty closed. I can't see how they would continuate the story from there. So it's either a prequel, or, I dunno, a side story happening at the same time of the Ronald D. Moore version. Also, if this is set on the same universe at RDM's series, why is he not involved? Or is he?
Jay 44,752 Posted September 20, 2019 Author Posted September 20, 2019 Yes, believe it or not, not everything you read on the internet is true! Edmilson 1
A24 4,997 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Was the 2004 show a true reboot of the Glen A. Larson show?

They think it's just a generic catch-all buzzword to describe a franchise being resurrected, without regard for whether the new incarnation is set in the same universe as the previous one.
