Yoda Longbottom 0
By "beautiful" I have a specific sound in mind...Big lush flowing themes,no action cues or Imperial Marches here...You're right, Mark. My list rather stands as my all time favorite tracks. I didn't pay much attention to the "beautiful" adjective at first...So I'm replacing Imperial March with "Love Theme" from Superman and that "Hedwig's Theme" loses its tie-split and becomes my bonus beau track of the list. Guest
Damn THX with some TRULY unorthodox choices there. Why not? Everybody else is copying everybody else's lists. There's a few more beautiful JW pieces than Star Wars, ET, Superman, and HP. I've heard most everything from those scores so much that they're not beautiful anymore--they're just old. I wouldn't mind it if JW never scored another score like that for the rest of his life. (I intentionally excluded Indiana Jones, because that's not really too old. The Raiders march never seems to get old to me. One time, I stood next to a putt-putt place that was like an Indy rip-off and it had the Raiders march looping; I could only imagine how much that drove the employees nuts, even though it didn't get old in the 10 minutes I stood there). I enjoy JW more these days for the unorthodox stuff he's done; the stuff people forget about. I may not want another blockbuster score, but I DO want quite a few more classical pieces that sound like they're in the neighborhood of all the other stuff he's done. Hopefully I can hear "Soundings" and the Horn Concerto pretty soon.
Morlock 11
I'm not copying everyone elses list. They all happen to agree with my correct opinion. And I can, that at least for myself, there's NOTHING JW has done that I forget about.

Binary Sunset - 4 mentions so far but I don't care, it's still my favorite and the most beautiful!Yoda's Theme - 5 mentions so far.... not so original.Horn concerto - Pastorale (mvmt. 3) - not on anyone's list yet!Luke & Leia - only 3 mentions so far!Han Solo & the Princess - also only 3Tributes! - an original mention. There's a picc solo that is sheer genius. The Face of Pan - also not mentioned, unless this is counted as the same as "You are the Pan," in which case it's already gotten 5 mentions.Anakin's Theme - only 1 other...Across the Stars - 2 others.Heartwood for cello & orchestra - uniqueand... gosh this is hard....the "Slow" theme from The Cowboys (what's its proper name?) - unique

I stand slightly corrected, but Pan still has the most mentions for a specific cue or track. By the way, Light of the Force and Funeral Pyre are the same cue. Just different titles depending on which release you're listening to.
