K.M.Who thinks he voted on this poll last week

That was all composers. I thought we needed a Williams only one.

EDIT- The Phantom Menace is my vote. It's REAL close though, ROJ, TOD, and both HPs are up there too.

I'm shocked Temple of Doom hasn't gotten any votes. Maybe it's because not many people have heard it outside of the film.

The Temple of Doom sanskrit chants (the ancestor of DotF in a way :baaa: ), the chorus in Stealing the Stones, the choral statement of the Slave Children theme at the end. Great stuff!

John- also agreeing nothing beats DotF, a big reason he voted for TPM. But the chorus/orchestra final duel explosion and Emperor killing Luke cues DO come very, very close. ;)

TPM.

ROTj is great too, but as with TOd, the choir is not used very often (I can only think of the Emperor's theme and Dark Side Beckons)

There's always that little moment in the Approaching Cloud City Cue with about 10 seconds of female chorus.

But, as a serious choice, I'd have to go with Empire of the Sun.

There's also the creepy and vastly underappreciated choral music that underscores Vader's meeting with the Emperor in the throne room ("I told you to stay on the command ship.").

Yeah,I love that part.Themeless and creepy enough.

K.M.

Yeah, that is great. An obvious place for an Emperor's Theme statement, but going with an unthematic chorus for one cue was a great idea.

A personal favorite of mine is the chorus under the Imperial March as Vader takes Luke before the Emperor.

I was listening to Hook recently and I can't believe I forgot to include it in the poll. It deserves a spot, there's some great choral bits there. Oh well, that's what the Other option is for.

Empire of the Sun may or may not be the best, but as soon as I read the poll (without seeing the options) it's the one that started playing in my head. So it gets my vote.

Aren't there some wierd electronics featured in that cue that don't appear on the SEs?

.

There's somekind of theremin effect I hear better on the Anthology (Faking th Code)
