Chris Hemsworth with reprise his role as George Kirk and have scenes with James Kirk, so it seems time travel will be involved.

I'm going to guess that it's time travel to undo the destruction of Vulcan or some sort of flashback or hallucination.

As for Chekov, I really don't want his character to be killed off-screen. They could just as easily say he transferred to the USS Reliant.

Bad Robot and Paramount have officially confirmed this is greenlit, with entire cast returning

JJ Abrams has stated that Chekov won't be recast

Bespin, its both the 14th overall Star Trek film and the 4th of the reboot series.  Keep up, man!

Again.

Would you write "1(4)"?

Sorry I did page layout in a translation office in another life, professional deformation I guess.

Sigh...

Because it can be considered either Star Trek 14 or Star Trek 4 based on your point of view!

OK, Bes, what does it all mean?

"Thrill me, will you please".

I'm guessing that's an automatic return for Giacchino too, considering a change of director with Beyond didn't discourage him (if you'll pardon the pun). I think that the only time Giacchino will stop is when the current crew stops, or when it is restarted again. I think he'll see this crew and format through to the end.

I wonder when the cast/crew/studio will stop too. I think when one of the big players, like Pine or Quinto call it quits, then it will cause a domino effect throughout the whole creative team.

I can't imagine Giacchino continuing without Abrams as producer. And I believe the entire main cast is on the same contract, so it's not like one of them can just randomly leave.

If Giacchhino keeps improving basic concept and writing the way he did with this new film, I'm all for him to stay on. For me, it's the best he's done. No question about it. Very different from the previous two. I wonder how his fans will take it.

Best he's done in his entire career, or just Trek?

I hope I agree!  I'm the weirdo who thinks that Tomorrowland is currently the greatest score he's ever composed so I never know if I'll agree with common Giacchino opinions.

I think the Tomorrowland score is amazing too, and severely underrated.  We need a session leak, there was some great cues in the film not on CD.
