I think that the only time Giacchino will stop is when the current crew stops, or when it is restarted again. I think he'll see this crew and format through to the end. I wonder when the cast/crew/studio will stop too. I think when one of the big players, like Pine or Quinto call it quits, then it will cause a domino effect throughout the whole creative team. I can't imagine Giacchino continuing without Abrams as producer. And I believe the entire main cast is on the same contract, so it's not like one of them can just randomly leave. I'm the weirdo who thinks that Tomorrowland is currently the greatest score he's ever composed so I never know if I'll agree with common Giacchino opinions. It's more lush and fluid score that fits into the more romantic idea of original Star Trek films better. I'm not saying this is Jerry Goldsmith or James Horner kind of level... But there's a certain stylistic evolution of Giacchino's writing that really made me smile. Just for the record, I like bits of the first two scores but they feel a bit too dry for my tastes, bit too bare-boned. Too blocky. This score leans more towards his John Carter/Jupiter Ascending. In terms of overall style, not themes. I suspect it will even make publicist cry from joy (or maybe not!)
