  1. I always just assumed the inside of the collector was blue like that. Doesn't bother me.

  2. A Building Panic from Titanic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ63FV6GwSk or rather, the moment which I believe accompanies the shot of the doors in the corridor being blown out by the rushing water 4.19 to 4.39 in the track and 5.06 to 5.26 Stand back...back I say! Or I'll shoot you all like dogs!

  3. Because it assumes knowledge. It should say "where do you want SW7 to be scored" I didn't fill in the poll because i have no idea where it will be recorded and who will conduct

  4. The Viola Concerto would indeed be amazing. I really fell in love with that particular piece!

  5. That would require rewriting the film and hiring Guillermo del Toro all over again. Oh never mind, I love all those score anyway. Karol

  6. The difference between the orchestras would be minimal. I think it unlikely that a Los Angeles studio orchestra for the prequels would have made much of a difference one way or the other. If it is easier on Williams not to travel, then he has earned the right not to travel. He will assemble his longtime collaborators in LA and it will sound great. that being said, my favorite SW main title recording is with the more contemporary LSO on the Hollywood Sound album.

  7. I suddenly remembered my Charlemagne. Let my armies be the rocks and the trees, and the birds in the sky.

  8. Why does it matter who records it? We won't be able to hear it over Ben Burtt's sound effects anyway

  9. I would only want the same LSO to record Episode 7 as the one that recorded Episodes 4 through 6. No new members, no substitutes, and not just some replacements who wear the same uniform. That's an inferior substitute and I want no part of it. Better to just pull the plug on this whole bum deal before people start embarrassing themselves.

  10. Nope, I don't think the LA musicians are any less talented. But I do think that an ensemble as a whole benefits from repeatedly rehearsing with the same members, in the same room, etc. A good orchestra should be more than the sum of its parts.

  11. That was my first thought when I read aj_vader's post, Maurizio! John Williams conducting the London Symphony Orchestra at the BBC Proms in a sold-out concert of his music at the Royal Albert Hall, anyone? I will keep mid July to mid September free just in case.

  12. Atheists arguably have the smallest amount of utterly deluded members among their group compared to the other, more mythologically orientated ones.

  13. That part is still one of the most aesthetically interesting things I've heard recently in movies. It's fucking badass sci-fi scoring.
