  1. You can see how good this movie is just with this thread. There are as many favourite scenes as replies. I agree with nightscape94, the USS Indianapolis speech does it for me.

This is a complement of her highly anticipated performance for Harry Gregson Williams´s SONCINEMAD Concert the 30th June, and she will also sing themes from her filmmusic collaborations. Anyone has heard anything of her apart from filmscores?
  3. [Mugglenet Mode ON] Oh my god, I can't wait to listen to William's fart. Please, someone PM this, since I won't be a complete fanboy without having listened to it [Mugglenet Mode OFF] I agree with Marc
  4. Just what I thought. I found myself waiting for Williams's themes to appear. I solved it listening to the original score from 1978
  5. Yep, it's been discussed before. In TPM you can hear Jabba's theme as he appears on screen. And there are mcuh more.
  6. I have to admit that I still am. This is the Oscar race that I've folloed more intensely, and, even I'm never a postive person, below that appearance of not expecting Williams to win, I hoped he did. Every time I listen to Memoirs I remember this, and I think the only way I will forget is if I see Williams getting another oscar. On the other hand, Williams being overawarded if compared to other composers, is just a fact, but will never be a good excuse for him not getting more Oscars. But I guess that's the way it is.
  7. A few weeks ago Willow was on Tv, and my father was watching it in the living room. I didn't know what movie he was watching, but i just overheard the music: the four notes motif! In fact, I wasn't sure which movie was till I actually went to the living room, cause with the 4 notes motif as reference I had several candidates!
  8. And the Oscar goes to... Memo (cough.. cough) Brokeback Mountain
  9. I posted this very clip some weeks ago. It's still funny
  10. Hey, Helena Bonham Carter would make a great Bellatrix! At least they got this casting right. Lets see whay they do with the rest of the movie
  11. Cool finale indeed. i think it was not till the last 5 o 6 episodes till they realy got back the Lost feeling of the first season. And they got it right in the finale again.
  12. Isnt he Count-Duke (not the SW one of Olivares? True! I thoght there was something weird about him, because he was not him!!
  13. Thanks! I hate not having time to see what happened on the Internet for several days in a row, specially cause at that times THESE THINGS happen. Luckily I've seen the thread before it went to page 2.... Wow, that was a looooong trailer. I guess this is a promotional trailer so that foreign distibutors (Lions Gate, cough, cough) buy the rights to the film. It was so long that it didn't work as a trailer, but at least there were a lot of footage to see. It was a pleasure to see they actually had money to spend in Art Direction and Costume Design. At least it will look good. I don't know what they will have done with the script, I just hope it is good, or at least fun. The cast was at some times good, but at some times weird. I'm sure Javier Camara's Quevedo will make use of irony and sarcasm throghout the film, though his presence was somehow weaker than I had imagined. I'm really surprised by Blanca Portillo's Inquisitor, I thought she would fake a male vocie, but she didn't. And now Viggo, it was weird to listen to him in Spanish withough an Argentinian accent, and sometimes his Spanish sounded a bit weird; I just hope it's because the sentences are out of context. And about direction, let's see we can get good battle secuences withough CGI shots ala LotR. I hope it's not too Braveheart though. Too many 'I just hope' in a trailer thread. I don't know if it's a good sign.
  14. I just found out that John Williams recorded Holst's The Planets with the Boston Pops. Has anyone heard it? How good is it?
  15. It seems he is a superman indeed... I'm sure you heard about this. The track name is just the confirmation: Is Superman’s bulge too super? Warner Brothers says yes. Brandon Routh joins the legendary ranks of Colin Farrell and Milton Berle in the large endowment society, after a report from British rag The Sun saying that his package is too big to fit decently into his Superman suit. Routh you may remember is the unknown cast by Bryan Singer to play the Man of Steel in his upcoming reboot of the Superman franchise, ‘Superman Returns’. The Sun says it’s such a problem that Warner Brothers, taking a cue from Disney’s digital reduction of Lindsay Lohan in ‘Herbie: Fully Loaded’, has demanded that Singer and company cover up Brandon’s big bulge with digital effects. The Sun’s source says, “It's a major issue for the studio. Brandon is extremely well endowed and they don't want it up on the big screen. We may be forced to erase his package with digital effects.” Sorry Stefan, but I had to
  16. I just saw it. It's a good summer movie IMO. Though it could be a little shorter and nobody would notice, I didn't find the explanations boring. In fact when I thought about the book becoming a movie, I thought they would ruin one of the things I liked about the book, and that is how the find out the solutions to the riddles. But Ron Howard went the graphic way, using "historical" flashbacks and kind of imaginary holograms to solve this, in a convincing way, at least for me. I didn't like the lack of connection between Hanks and Tatou ( I was expecting a "come on, forget about the fucking mistery and let's go to bed" thing, and it was quite the opposite. But anyway it was entertaining, which was what i was looking for.
  17. Same here. Though most of the movements have a special moment for me.
  18. My Star Wars 1977 tape set. I know it's not a CD, but that's the oldest thing I own from Williams. Besides the background is white, so perfect for signing.
  19. After all the bashing and all, he is the man that gave us Star Wars after all, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mr Lucas Lucas turns 62 today Edit: It's also Sofia Coppola's and Robert Zemeckis birthday today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to them too.
  20. I liked it! Victory Celebratation never fit the scene for me, but this Throne Room arrangement does! And, as Incanus said, it even fits in some certain moments, like the apearance of Coruscant, the appearance of Luke... Great job
