Minority Report Watched it twice, once alone and once with my brother. I'm not sure I like it all that much, but the pacing is excellent and the visual quality is striking. Maybe I just don't like Tom Cruise. 3/4

Nixon is a pretty good score indeed. Plenty of gravitas. I did not like it too much in the film, but that might be because the film felt heavy and misfocused and did not need any more weight, even of the good kind.

That Thing You Do Cute movie. Very hard to dislike, a fun and satisfying way to spend a couple of hours. 3.5/4

The movie's nostalgia and warm feelings drenched approach is perfect. That is exactly the way heartland Americans do myth. Sure, it can feel artificial at times, but it is still the best way to approach the subject. And Hackman and Hopper add just the right amount of gravitas to things.

I'm watching a different Hackman turn.
