I'm very curious about this:

Holy fuck!
Or... unholy, to be more faithful to the subject matter.

And a Poledouris: https://www.varesesarabande.com/products/on-deadly-ground-the-deluxe-edition
There is also a Delerue Encore reissue: https://www.varesesarabande.com/products/a-show-of-force-varese-encore

Year for the books? Well, Varese Sarabande's year is one for the books regarding JW!

Perhaps LLL was referring to Varese!
Interesting!

The cover looks shady, but the contents sound really interesting to me!

Yavar Moradi reacted to Kasey Kockroach in Anyone else love John Scott?
I've been hooked on this dude lately. King Kong Lives was always my favorite Kong album to put on, but I never got the chance to further explore his filmography until a very generous friend of mine sent me a bunch of his scores recently. Namely the one presented below, Lionheart and The Deceivers.
This guy's incredible! His orchestrations are always so lush and detailed and gorgeous! His handling of brass is fantastic (KKL's especially sounds beastly!), and the guy can write some darn ear-wormy main themes! His action riffs are exhilarating! I can't wait to hear some more from him upon further exploration. Particularly interested in hearing Shoot to Kill and People That Time Forgot.
This one's been my very favorite so far.

Didn't Roger claim two titles were coming out at once? The mid 90s bio pic and this one? Oh well.

There are less and less pressing plants existing on the planet all the time, and the ones that are left don't have to be competitive because they know there are no alternatives (most of these specialty label CDs are contractually required to be pressed by a plant connected to the film studio in some way)

I've told you: it wasn't possible. I tried it, my friends tried it, work colleagues tried it. It could not be done. I've had a lot of counseling about this. Why did you have to bring it up. Why? Why?! 😭

Inky, in the age of the interweb thingy, ignorance is no excuse .
43 years ago, I'd never heard of a guy called John Williams. All I knew was that he had written some music that I liked. I did some research, and voilà, three years later, I had a burgeoning record collection. Same with Goldsmith, Barry, etc.
It's not hard to go to YouTube, and type "James Bernard", or "Brian Easdale".

All I know is his Dracula is awesome, this rerecording coming next year will be the perfect gateway.

Because many of us have never heard of them.

Any James Bernard is worth listening to. Like Brian Easdale, he just doesn't get enough love, around here.

Why didn't I know about this? Colour me hyped! How long does it usually take for Tadlow to get from recording to price/tracklist/cover announcement to release?
I see the target release date back when recording was Halloween, but no info since then.

Turns out it was pushed back to next year because of Fitzpatrick's health issues. All the best to him!

Once again, it pays to not watch any of these movies, and thus have no idea what any excluded music is like, thus not give a shit and enjoy the album we got as is.

That means he cares about the future of their Goldsmith catalogue! I would really like to know what is going to happen to scores like Malice and Angie. If Varese doesn't care about expanding them, why not give it to other labels? If they do care, it will take a long long time until they get released. (BTW, I don't really care about those examples at all.)
Don't be so hypocritical! You also buy releases that other members of this forum do not care about or consider redundant. And did you just somehow refer to The Final Conflict as shit?

I hope for Doloroes Claiborn from Elfman, Air Force One from Goldsmith, Brainstorm from Horner, and anything they can get from Williams

Yes, frankly. If any future rereleases contain rare, well-presented, and good material, from one of my favourite composers, then I'll happily hand over the money.

Yavar Moradi reacted to Amer in The Official Varese Sarabande Thread
You think so? Well, in this case he said it himself on one of the facebooks postings a while back. So that's why I'am saying that. He kind of indicated there are other Goldsmith projects that he wants to prioritize. I think this was around or before the last batch we had.
