How do you feel about historians who study the personal lives of classical composers (or any other artist) in immense detail, researching their private letters/correspondences, analysing their draft manuscripts, and interviewing surviving collaborators/family members/friends, all for the sake of gaining a greater understanding of the artist as a person, and thus being able to appreciate their art/music on a deeper level?
Just want to point out the obvious difference between a trained historian and a fan.

He could have been a good composer!

But the blurb leaves out the most important information -- who did the arrangements? Pedroni for all of them (he's listed with transcription in the actual YouTube clip itself)?
I think Pedroni arranged the earlier JW album, not sure about the Morricone.
-
Pedroni and Andon already did a 2-CD duo album with music by Morricone, and although it's good it's not something I listen to in one go.

I was working on the music of official Star Wars projects so got permission to study the originals. It's crazy to think I was sitting alone with the Herb Spencer original pencil scores and could literally have changed it if I felt like it.
Cool, but did you really need to study the originals? I assume there's photocopies available.

I was listening to some sections of the Colin Davis-conducted Sibelius symphonies that @Incanus gave me some years ago in London. Lovely.

Not the RCA set, I hope.

Actually, he said bring back a one-piece.

Cool. What was your reason for examining them?

Both, I guess. They're living in a symbiosis now.

This I agree with 100%. Redeem that franchise by ending it on a high note rather than that terrible second entry. I'm sure Banderas can still kick plenty of ass as an older Zorro.
Haven't seen the 2nd movie. What's so bad about it?

I don't know if Empire exists in more than two tracks. Anybody?
-
They have used a long time releasing RCA's Classic Film Scores series, they're not in a hurry. I guess RotJ will come if the sales figures of SW/CE3K are satisfactory.

Aren't the originals leather bound in JW's place?

Finally, Harrison Ford has attained the necessary mileage to do a convincible bond.

I'm not familiar with that composer. Any good?

Oh, I thought I was here to talk about Jerry Goldsmith.

There shall in that time be rumors of Star Wars master tapes going astray, erm, and there shall be a great confusion as to where they really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things with the sort of raffia-work base, that has an attachment.

Sounds like a Bryan Adams song.
