A24 reacted to Naïve Old Fart in Upcoming Films
The barkers name was Buck. I'd seen him around. Bryant must have upped him, to the Dog Runner unit. That gibberish he spoke, was gibberish, a mixture of woofs, growls, howls, what have you. I knew the barking, every good owner did, but I wasn't gonna make it any easier for him.

Live and Let Die
Roger Moore is in the house and suddenly things are a lot crazier and a lot more fun. Not to impugn Sean Connery's work, but Moore has a certain charm and effortlessly cool swagger that makes him my favorite Bond. Just look at him smoking a cigar while flying a hang glider. What a badass!
All of the other debuts for new Bonds played it safe, even if they were doing something different such as the origin story in Casino Royale. That's not the case for Live and Let Die. It's as wacky as they come and frequently not what you would have expected going on. It still has all the Bondian trademarks and it also has one of the best chase scenes ever, nice American locations and more black people than you'll ever see in a 007 movie ever again.
From Bond's posh pad with coffee maker and babe to the gritty streets of NYC and the bayous of Louisiana, it's incredibly cool, sexy and completely entertaining. 007's escape from gators and crocodiles is another highlight. The only thing missing is Q.

A24 reacted to Jay in Time Magazine's best TV shows of the decade
I've only seen 4 of those (BCS, Twin Peaks, Good Place, and Fleabag... all good shows), but want to see the others to varying degrees. I'd rank the order I'l likely eventually see them as something like
The Leftovers
Mad Men
BoJack Horseman
Atlanta
Halt & Catch Fire
Enlightened
There are certainly many other shows not on this list I'll likely check out before some of those, notably Rick & Morty, The Terror, The Expanse, Homecoming, Love, Easy, Modern Love, The Boys, The Man in the High Castle...
And boy are there a lot of great 2010s show not on that list, like HANNIBAL, Schitt's Creek, Breaking Bad, Fargo, True Detective, Black Mirror, Barry, Search Party, Mr Robot, Westworld, Mindhunter, Big Mouth...

Racist? Because he didn't use a capital letter for 'dark'?

A24 got a reaction from Ricard in Martin Scorsese’s THE IRISHMAN (2019)
In a not so distant future, other actors will play the part of Indiana Jones, but with Harrison Ford's digital face. And the people will say, the film was meh but Harrison Ford was great as usual.

A24 got a reaction from 1977 in How old does a film has to be in order to be labeled as OLD?
I once read that TV stations don't like to program movies that are older than 10 years because they attract less viewers. This seems to be my experience here in Belgium as well.

A24 got a reaction from SteveMc in How old does a film has to be in order to be labeled as OLD?
Actually, Jaws has a slow-paced build-up. It really takes its time and seems more interested in the characters (and their interaction) than in spectacle, action or monsters. And I don't think its style or tone are very 'today', but very akin to the filmmaking of the first part of the '70s, when filmmakers didn't think in terms of formulas or reaching the broadest possible audience. I actually feel respected not being treated as a juvenile when I watch Jaws, something I can't say of the average 'modern' blockbuster. So, no, not a modern-feeling movie to me. If they did a Jaws remake today, you would definitely see a different kind of movie.

No, no Dolby B, C or DBX. Odd that it's not included.

Are you tired of the complaints that your music sounds too good? In that case, make it sound like a cassette tape with three options: Pro, Home and Micro

A24 reacted to Naïve Old Fart in Roland Emmerich regrets making Independence Day: Resurgence
Steven Spielberg (anybody heard of him?) said that he made LAST CRUSADE, to apologise for TOD. He's also pointed out the many faults, in 1941, and he's gone on record saying that he still doesn't like HOOK.
A director is entitled to not like their work.

Yeah whatever was a big zeitgeist back then isn't necessarily a crowd pleaser now. Are studios even learning that?

Don't you think that the "low fi", cheap stock suits the mood of the film? Maybe that's what Scorsese wanted? Nonetheless, it would be nice to have a 4K restoration, in time for its 45th birthday.

A24 got a reaction from Arpy in Terminator 6: Dark Fate (2019)
It's estimated that Dark Fate will lose a 100 million dollars. R.I.P. The Terminator francise.
Hopefully Avatar will suffer the same (dark) fate.

Alex, you have to post pics like that inside a spoiler (eyeball icon) box and with a NSFW warning. Many of us read this forum at our jobs from our work computers. Thank you.

Maybe crocs thinks that was bad too. Don't give up just yet!
Probably but there are so many movies with good performances. Don't you want something more?
