welshslider 2
I have compiled on my website thbeardedtrio.com my personal top twenty end credits or finales by the genius John Williams. I apologise in advance if you think I have left one out but these are my favourites. But if there is an obvious missing masterpiece I would love to knowTop Twenty End Credits By John Williams
gkgyver 1,647
The edited end credits of TPM doesn't belong anywhere near the top 20.Neither does ROTJ IMO.And if you list Star Wars, then Episode III is kind of needless.

ROTJ is one of my favorites as well. And the ROTS End Credits from the OST is Williams' gift that keeps on giving. Not quite the same as Star Wars and deserves its own place on the list IMO.The only ones I might disagree with are the ones I haven't heard before, so I have no right to call them out. Wojo 2,454
I don't listen to end credits. These soundtracks are too long, I lose focus by the end and have to change to something else.

Wojo 2,454
Definitely. You might even say three of them are actually pretty good.
Brock Lovett 6,579
How can you not have CE3K in a top 5?Star WarsJawsCE3KE.T.The Empire Strikes BackThose are certainly the definitive ones. Perhaps Superman could edge out Empire because of the Love Theme. But maybe it technically doesn't count since it was just the concert arrangement tacked on the end because of the overlong running time. So no, Empire rounds out top 5. Datameister 2,102
ESB for me, all the way. ANH would have it beat if Williams hadn't extended the Yoda's theme segment with a separately recorded insert, but seeing as how that's not the case, ESB wins. gkgyver 1,647
Sometimes it is very hard to shove aside the annoying overexposure of Williams' classics like Star Wars, Jaws or Superman, and force yourself to remain objective.I for one can't listen to Throne Room/End Title anymore, yet I think it belongs to the Top 3.But not in front of CE3K. Demondm810 399
Empire and CE3K are the best. It really should be "Top 20 after Empire and Close Encounters"

Romão 2,277
If you consider the concert suites (normally the opening and closing tracks of many JW's 90's scores) as end credits, that you can't possibly exclude Amistad, Seven Years in Tibet and Angela's Ashes, and at least consider The Patriot and Saving Private Ryan
John Crichton 4
BTW love your avatar...LOOK! A THREE HEADED MONKEY!That's the second biggest three headed monkey I've seen. How appropriate. You fight like a cow.A solid top 5ish starting spot for me would be: Star Wars, ESB, Raiders, ToD, ET, CE3K, and Jaws 2. RotJ also just for the Throne Room quote at the end. I also love The Patriot concert/end credits suite, and have always said that Indy 4 actually has a really nice end credits piece.

I had to include it.THAT'S more like it! "An Architect's Dream" deserves to be in there, as does "End Title, End Cast", and "Dracula".Thank you.
