#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
The might chose to start with Blofeld the old fashioned way. A figure behind the scenes, a voice and body...and a cat. but not yet a face or name.
Matt C 454
I had a feeling they were pursuing Monica Bellucci a long time for a 007 role. She's gorgeous. And only Sam Mendes could get away with that 'crazy auteur' hairstyle. It looks good on him.
Jay 37,368
She's 50? Hot damn! Yea, she's always been a stunner. Would have been a perfect Bond girl in any of the Brosnan films.
Unlucky Bastard 7,782
Is Monica Bellucci the first Bond girl to be older than the actor playing Bond?I'm not sure about the other girl Lea something. I did a search on her and she's a bit homely looking. I guess they'll glam her up like at the press conference. Hard to beat the striking looks of Berenice Marlohe. Jay 37,368
Wow that's too bad. She would have worked better than Terri Hatcher in that movie! Would have even been a better nuclear scientist than Denise Richards too!

No rights? Do the inventors of a series need to acquire rights to the same series? Erm, it's SPECTRE/Blofeld, not the series. Know anything about Kevin McClory? Even after his death in 2006, there was an extensive legal battle with his estate, which only was only resolved when Danjaq and MGM won the court case in November 2013. The length of the struggle makes EON/Sony's acquirement of the rights for Casino Royale in 1999 (which MGM traded for Spider-Man) look like a walk in the park by comparison.
