Gollum Cat 24 Posted yesterday at 02:21 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:21 AM My dad surprised me with Fellowship of the Ring one evening in December 2003. Next evening was Two Towers. Then the next night he surprised me by taking me to see Return of the King in theaters. I was 11 or so. One of my favorite memories with him. 6 hours ago, Edmilson said: And I was 8, which means I only watched it when it came out on DVD Man I feel old. I remember feeling bummed that The Hobbit rights were tied up and that Jackson would never get around to being able to make the movies.

Schilkeman 964 Posted yesterday at 06:01 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:01 PM I was 17. I took my HS girlfriend to see it. We missed the prologue and I had no idea what was going on, but it inspired me to read the Hobbit. The rest is, well, the rest. My son's middle name is Olorin thanks to a movie I didn't understand, and during which, I may or may not have been making-out with someone. Fun times. Big thanks to my friend Chris who brought over his extended edition DVDs for us all to watch, and then never came back to get them. I owe you one.
