Unfortunately I don't have the magazines where a lot of this was discussed, but it was in between Empire and Jedi.I will try and see if I can find an article online. Upon a quick first glance it looked like the side was blown out and those were the remains.I never thought they would rebuild the damn thing a second time. The original idea was that it took place around what would eventually become Courescent if I'm not mistaken.See a lot of people figured Vader was lying and that the other Yoda spoke of was Luke's father, who had gone into hiding. He would be revealed and join his son against Vader and the Emperor. I also remember speculation that Lando and Chewie would rescue Han, kill Jabba and convince the smugglers to join in the final battle against the Empire.Wasn't expecting Jabba's palace to be a safe haven for the muppet show rejects. Used to pretend I was the giant, stomping around my bedroom with my Action Force figures imprisoned in a DIY cardboard cage which I had dangling from the ceiling with a safety pin.
