#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
So was Marvin Hamlish, who wrote a delightful score for The Spy Who Loved me, and the great Bill Conti. But Thomas Newman wrote the last two. Let's get a Britt back in there, ok?
Jay 37,416
My vote is Joe Kraemer. Powell will never score one with his new stance on not scoring films where the protagonist uses violence to solve problems. Though he came back for Bourne 4, so maybe if the money's right? #SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
Anyone know how much he really did on Bourne 4? I'd like to see him do a Bond, but definitely not in the half-arsed mode he used when he scored that.

I don't think there's been anything publicly stated about how much of that was (new) Powell and how much was Buckley. I actually wondered after seeing the film if Powell didn't actually work on it at all, and Buckley wrote all the new music and arranged Powell music from the original trilogy... and then Powell's agent is good enough to get top billed. But that's just my own random speculation, as I said I haven't seen anything stated publicly about the process.

#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
Tragic, but no reason to give him another Bond. I enjoy them a lot actually, but this kind of film isn't something Newman is about Naïve Old Fart

Infact the main theme from that score was used so well in that score and was so fitting for the new Bond that I always thought it should have been mada a second character theme for Bond. leeallen01 2,136
JNH, because his Salt score was fun, especially how he used the orchestration to mimic sirens from different emergency services. And his score for The Tourist over those helicopter shots of Venice. Very Bond. Also Abel Korzeniowski would be good for Bond, especially when I made a video called 'What If Abel Korzeniowski Scored a James Bond Film' a while ago, and he saw it and told me that he would love to do one, but only if he could go outside the box. And I'm always a major champion of McCreary. So always him for anything. But I agree that if Craig returns for one last Bond, then Arnold should return for it too, because Casino Royale is the absolute best Bond Score in my opinion. Perfect marriage of score and film.
