Absolutely, but it's a dream come true to the Kostner cult following. They probably didn't sleep last night.
filmmusic 1,896
I love DANCES WITH WOLVES! I hope this is something similar in artistic value. (and in music score too)
Brónach 1,302
I'll admit i'm not exactly a fan of the genre but maybe it won't be that bad
Naïve Old Fart 9,717
DANCES WITH WOLVES is, as @filmmusic rightly says, fantastic, as is WYATT EARP. I've not seen OPEN RANGE, but I hear very good things, about it. 16 hours ago, Edmilson said: There's also Kill Bill Vol. 1 (Oct 2003) and Vol. 2 (April 2004). A24 4,367
I haven't seen Dances With Wolves since it was first released, I think. Did it stand the test of time? Are the FX holding up?
Tallguy 3,510
I'm not a fan of Dances. I need to see Wyatt Earp.
Naïve Old Fart 9,717
Yes, you do. It's been compared, unfairly, to TOMBSTONE, but I really like it. Dennis Quaid gave it his all. A great performance, as Doc Holiday.

(and in music score too) I’ve never heard anything from Debney that I thought rivalled Dances except MAYBE Passion of the Christ, so it’s just the movie itself I care about. JNHFan2000 2,979
New trailer. Could this be a "trailerized" version of Debney's music?
Richard Penna 3,770
I'm normally a defender of 'WHAM' style trailer music, but my god. If ever there were a track so unsuitable for the vibe of the film... there's a nice celtic tinged melody but it's wrapped up in such ridiculous trailerised orchestration. A shame, as the film looks quite good. Nothing in it is recognised by my usual tools so it's a bit more likely to be custom music (although far from certain, of course) - very possibly a version of Debney's theme, particularly as his themes tend to be a little on the generic side for me anyway. Tallguy 3,510
How the West was Won 2024. I keep saying they should bring back intermissions for these epics. I didn't mean months apart and charge me twice!
