I thought I heard whispering as I pondered my vote. And possibly a slight tightening around my neck. LOL

Even though the only debate was what was second after ESB. I love TMP, it's my favorite score not written by someone named John Williams, but I had to go with Superman just by a little bit.

This is an interesting poll, and three such superb scores! However the inclusion of two Williams scores puts a slight bias on the whole thing. Maybe next time (please let's have more of these!) we should limit it to one score per composer. Maybe Williams, Goldsmith, Herrmann???

Of course, but this thread refers to some other thread in which a discussion started about these scores. It's interesting to see how Goldsmith's best score (arguably, personally I find Under Fire for one better) fits in with two of the best Williams scores (coincidentally written around the same period).
