If I had to choose if Jurassic World or the 20th Anniversary JP would get a physical CD?

Jurassic World, of course! I already have 80% of JP on physical CD, and the bonus tracks in lossless.

I'd rather a 25th or 30th anniversary edition come out, that truly contains the complete score, oh physical CD, than the odd 20th anniversary version.

I wonder if this movie is another one of those instances where the hype is simply a cover-up for a potentially luke-warm movie when it comes out.

And what's with the name "Jupiter Jones"? What is this, a rejected cartoon pilot reworked as a Saturday afternoon republic sci-fi serial?

...

...

...

Then again, I could be wrong about the whole thing and this will be an awesome sci-fi movie to watch.

"The hype"? There's hype for this movie?

Any advertising counts as hype. From there, it's simply a matter of degrees of hype.

Considering the movie is out next week, I haven't seen a single poster or TV trailer. My cinema was showing the very first trailer last week which still said "coming soon" at the end. If I wasn't following the music, I wouldn't know this was coming out.

Aha! he edited his post! It wasn't there when I first replied to it!

Hey wait! This wasn't here before either:

Incidentally, there were additional sessions in LA conducted by Tim Simonec according to the CD notes.

Does this mean you have the CD?

At this point, I am now wondering that with the fractional presence of bus ads, billboards and trailers, that this movie is going to recoup its costs.

I mean, $175 million? And two delayed release dates for post-prod visual effects? And the Wachowski brothers brother and sister directing team?

Who besides me wants to predict a "box office bomb at worst" and "barely covered production costs at best"?

Where on Facebook was that posted?

BTW, you can now import the Sony version of the physical CD for $19.99 (FREE SHIPPING), on Amazon US!

http://www.amazon.com/Jupiter-Ascending-Various-Artists/dp/B00KI7RM2O/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1422315980&sr=1-1&keywords=jupiter+ascending

MUCH better than the $34 they were charging last week!

AND better than purchasing from Amazon UK!

MV just posted in the FSM thread that no LLL version will be coming

Nope. Sorry guys. It definitely would have been a foolish move now considering you can buy the import for $20.

That's ok though -- Kingsman kicks major ass! :)

Damn you, WaterTower!

Aww, come on. How can you damn it with a face like that?

Does that look like something that deserves to be damned?

Hard to predict with these movies. I don't get that something like Guardians of the Galaxy was so popular while John Carter or Watchmen failed

but just releasing it in Febuary doesn't help

It would get destroyed if they released it closer to any of the Marvel or DC movies. Like Speed Racer.

I'm just glad they somehow get to keep making films after so many failures. I think M. Night Shyamalan's career is finally dead.

It can. GI:Joe 2 made money because it was released in Jan or Fed, when there was nothing else out there.

If you released this film during the summer season it will get slaughtered.

Yep. Summer is open season for Marvel and DC studios.

I think M. Night Shyamalan's career is finally dead.

You would think that, but he has one movie coming out this year (The Visit, September 11, 2015) and is currently in production on another film, Labor of Love. And he directed the pilot for the new FOX event series Wayward Pines.

Maybe executives are willing to overlook a few duds in hopes of repeating early successes?

Or maybe the studios executives realized that they know better than let this director have way with the directing of this event series and are keeping him tightly under their collective thumbs.

I dunno. Just a hunch...

Some good music on those tracks. Will the movie be worthy of it. . . ?

I still haven't seen Speed Racer or Cloud Atlas

CA was a good movie. I really enjoyed it. I refused to see SR.

Mila Kunis looks terribly miscast.

Mila Kunis is miscast in everything except That 70s Show. Her turn in Oz The Great and Powerful makes me want to stay away from any movie she's ever in again. (This one might be no exception.)

Yeah, I remember her role in that movie. Her transformation was the most dynamic, having gone from being Carmen Sandiego to becoming the Wicked Witch of the West.

Exactly. Two entirely different roles. You would think that would be difficult to pull off, but in fact . . . she failed entirely!

So you concede that it's difficult for any actress to transition from from being Carmen Sandiego to becoming the Wicked Witch of the West?
