I never cared for the US until I first saw ID4.

It's as fluffy as the movie but the amount of instrumental detail and variety is very unusual for this kind of venture.

I prefer it that way.

Now if they'd just pull George Lucas out of retirement.

Masters of the Universe with the Red Letter Media commentary. Well, I guess they don't like it. At all. Not a very entertaining commentary track, but the movie was great as always!

Much more important than either one of them is the E.T. OST album, which was released in 1982.

ID4 is one of those longer flicks where you're aware of its length, but it never seems to drag. So many 2+ hour movies in recent history just seem to drag on and on for 30-45 minutes after they've already lost steam and I've stopped caring, especially Christopher Nolan films.

Yeah that one that sounds like the music from the EPCOT American Adventure or whatever it is, I love that one!  I've always thought it would be a nice theme for Williams himself.  Warm, wise, grandfatherly.

Should have kept the Raiders DVD since it has the correct colour grading. The blu-ray looks too gold/yellow.

But isn't it just as gratifying having all your favourite movies lined up on your shelf in cool looking packages? Something you can love and call "my collection"?

Studio interference is usually for the best. It got us that awesome Harrison Ford narration in Blade Runner.
