Myth. There's the true story about the rehearsal of "America, The Dream Goes On" a couple of years into his tenture, where Williams stormed off because of the unruly orchestra members (apparently a consequence of the more informal/lacking discipline of the Arthur Fiedler era), but I've never heard anything about the Pops being unhappy with his hiring and/or programming of his music. Quite the contrary.
 
By the way, great to finally see this, his first "Evening at Pops". Love the REIVERS suite (I've only ever heard it before, never SEEN it performed live), in particular. Just points out, once again, that a boxed set of all these programs, especially the Williams-conducted ones, needs to be released!

I loved him so much I wrote an article about COLUMBO just so I could praise the amazing RANSOM FOR A DEAD MAN score.
Maybe, like Shirley Walker, he will get his due in the aftermath.

In any case, Joker will end up as the winner, no doubts. Even the normies are liking Hildur's score. My brother for example isn't a film music nerd like myself, and told me he liked the music on Joker when he watched the movie.

Wow, that publicist really loves to lay on the disdain. He’s the JWFan equivalent to FSM’s late RM Eastman with the levels of arrogance and insults flying at everyone who isn’t him. He’s on ignore because I find that kind of thing he does just lame and tiresome. I’d rather focus on positives than pointless criticism. Whatever his axe is that he feels needs grinding, it’s likely a polished stump at this point. 
 
Also the only music in JADE that wasn’t used much was the Chinese source music. Most of the score itself was used. Edited as most scores are, but used in the film.

Sometimes, it would be better if these specialty labels just released remastered versions of OSTs.

Yes, I added the FYC tracks in with the OST tracks, so now I have more tracks I don't listen to.

Not on the first one as I recall. At least nothing intrusive. Sound and performance are both really good. Great selections too, nice variety.

I seem to remember Richard/NOF previously stating his dislike of the Nolan Batmans, so him watching 2 of them again is curious.

I am not a fan of his concert arrangements in general, because he just streamlines the themes so that they all sound the same emotionally by ending with a clichéd orchestral outburst. I even sold my Williams-Spielberg-collaboration-box.
