Gnome in Plaid got a reaction from The Illustrious Jerry in Williams donates all his scores to Juilliard
I can't remember who the composer was, but I read an article about a composer giving all of his scores to a library, and they had all the piles of music sitting in front of him on the table as they made the announcement.

Dis isn't how it's supposed to be! Matessino! Finish them off! The OSTs are still coming through! Where are those complete scores?

The Dark Side Beckons is the greatest musical moment in Star Wars, and a prime example of John selling something that wouldn't have much weight on its own.  He is the reason you feel something during that sequence.

Interestingly, when there isn't such a gap between the quality of score and film, you don't get those blowout moments as often.

EP 9 will open with a massive battle sequence and cut to suddenly Rey waking up at night. She's on Luke's island and Luke rushes in to comfort here and asks her what happened? She tells him she has a bad dream where she imagined he threw his light saber over his shoulder, refused to train her but then agreed and that she dreamt that both Snoke and Luke are dead.

Luke chuckles and tells her, what a horrible dream, that sounds like something a small man I dislike would write. And promises to start her first lesson the next morning.

The story basically continues from the end of Ep 7.

I think the funniest thing in the film was when the Resistance were calling for help on Crait, and the rest of the Galaxy was like..

It would be interesting to read George Lucas's story treatments for episodes VII to IX.  Mark Hamill said the treatments were interesting and obviously would have been more consistent in tone to the originals.  I think Lucas is a pretty good imagineer but not a good writer so if he wrote a plot treatment and had Kasdan or someone flush out a script, it could be worth reading.  Obviously he sold his ownership of the franchise but it is possible these can be made into graphic novels or novels or something at some future date like how they treated Lucas's original Star Wars script.

This movie is such a complete failure on so many levels (mainly from writing and directing point of view) that it brought me to the point where I don't care anymore about this story and these characters. For me this is the final act of a long goodbye that started in 1999. The music is truly the only saving grace and thank goodness we still have John Williams at least.

These two articles sum up perfectly (and much better than I would) all the issues I had with Last Jedi (sorry if they've been already posted before)

If you really actually think about it properly, Johnson made no risks at all. Everything was pointless.

    - Leia died, oh wait she didn't.
    - Kylo is good, oh wait he's not.
    - Rey is the most powerful...oh wait Snoke just owned her.
    - Snoke is the most powerful...oh wait no Kylo just easily fooled him.
    - Luke is dead, oh wait he's a projection, oh wait he's dead, but not really.
    - Finn and Rose are going to turn off the tracker, oh wait they're not.
    - DJ is a good guy, oh wait he's bad, or is he just neutral?
    - The entire resistance is destroyed, but I guess they're not.
    - The walkers are going to attack the base, oh I guess not.
    - Holdo seems a bit dodgy and could be bad, oh wait she's not.
    - Rey isn't atuned to the force yet, oh I guess she is now.
    - Rey is great with a lightsaber, oh wait now she's bad, no wait she took out those red guards.

Johnson did nothing by doing everything.

Howard Shore has apparently completed The Catcher Was a Spy, the true story of eccentric baseball player-turned-spy Moe Berg.  I don't know anything about the upcoming film (other than this), but the book that became the screenplay is a great read.  Howard Shore?  Baseball?  A WWII biopic?  In one package?  Bring on 2018!

Why bother writing music.  Music is dead.  Too much RCP stuff.  I remember 1986.  Ah....

This potential sale is especially concerning given the recent story of Disney blacklisting the Los Angeles Times for publishing an unflattering story about their business ties to the City of Anaheim.

Any corporation, especially one with as much power and reach as Disney, that behaves that way with a major press outlet, where they had better only publish things that make them look good 'or else' is abhorrent.

The offending story: Is Disney paying its share in Anaheim? The money battle outside the Happiest Place on Earth.

It's funny.  I bet many executives at Disney would consider themselves anti-Trump yet they behave just as pettily and pathetically when receiving negative press.
