The Hit House is another trailer music production company that's been involved in making a few interesting custom mixes lately (most notably their "Bare Necessities" arrangements for the live-action Jungle Book film). Nine times out of ten, though, the general public doesn't and can't know which companies are involved until the day the trailer releases (at which time the companies go to Facebook or wherever and get all excited).

Columbus's two films have some very cool-looking shots, but Cuaron takes it to a new level. It almost seems like he transitions from Columbus's style to his own; the Aunt Marge and Knight Bus sequences feel like Columbus films, but when Mr. Weasley warns Harry, the whole conversation takes place over one long shot (a conversation which marks the start of the core plot of the story). That's Cuaron's style for the film: ambitious and visually interesting tracking shots.

I hear the book is no better than tween fan-fiction, but nevertheless I would totally see a "reunion" movie with Radcliffe, Grint, Watson, etc. based on Cursed Child.

I'm saying that with the prequel comment Pope seems to be saying that JKMS can do everything now (rather than a separate orchestrator such as himself being involved). So JW can just send his sketches straight to them. 
 
@TheWhiteRider seems to think that's the case. And it would line up nicely with the fact that Williams hasn't been employing orchestrators on some of his last few scores.

Of course it is. Because it sucks either way.

People have been ghostwriting for Zimmer for decades.
Even as far back as 1990 Shirley Walker wrote a score credited to Zimmer. That was due to a legal dilemma, but even today figuring out who wrote what in almost any given RCP score, Zimmer or not, is a Herculean task.

I was the one who got Desplat replaced with Giacchino.
 
 Let me explain. I made an extensive youtube video a while back called 'What if James Newton Howard Scored Harry Potter?' Where I matched JNH's music from countless films together with scenes from all 8 Potter films. Then months later the news breaks that JNH is scoring Fantastic Beasts. 
 
I also made a youtube video called 'What if Michael Giacchino Scored Star Wars?' Where I also matched Giacchino's music from several films, to scenes from all 6 (at the time) Star Wars films. Now Giacchino gets the Star Wars gig. 
 
I also made a 'What if Abel Korzeniowski Scores a Bond Film' video. If that happens in the future, you can all bow down and worship my awesome power.

Completely agree. The first four films were very good at surprising the audience with all sorts of little ways that magic works in the wizarding world.
With Yates, it all felt so cut-and-dry. In terms of magic, there was almost nothing we hadn't seen before.
 
DH part 1 is just awful. "Doom and gloom" is a theme there and I wouldn't mind it so much if the film weren't hitting you over the head with it with the low brightness level. There's so little magic in it, too. Heck, here's how they advertised the film!
 
 
At that point of course, everyone knew what Harry Potter was, but without the text there's no pinning down what type of film it is. Nothing that indicates adventure or fantasy at all.
 
The editing for almost all the later films is pretty atrocious too.
 
 
Yes, subtlety is hardly a talent of Chris Columbus's.
 
Personally I think the re-use of so many themes helped make the two films feel cohesive. Since the film series explored several different styles in its ten years, sometimes going from one film to the next is a jarring experience because it's so different from what you saw last time. It makes it easier for me appreciate the various forms of repetition in Chamber of Secrets, musical and otherwise.
