I still have the original release on Vinyl. One of my favorite Williams!

I doubt any director who would inflict pain on the public in the form of four AVATAR sequels, for his own amusement.

Never Surrender: A Galaxy Quest Documentary

A very entertaining and thorough coverage of the development, filming, post-production, release and the film's cult status over the past 20 years. Everyone involved with Galaxy Quest gets interviewed, as well as a few ST actors and filmmakers (like Damon Lindeof and Greg Berlanti) gushing about the movie. Some very funny and touching remembrances of the late Alan Rickman too. There's a definite Trekkies vibe throughout the film too.

A must for fans of the movie. Even if you're not a fan of the movie, you'll likely see it in a different light after this.

One of his many meisterwerks, and his most "English" score. A triumph, from start to finish.

Both. Dalton is my favourite Bond, and THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS is one of my all-time top-5 Bond films.

In fairness to the Craig movies, the 'personal to Bond' thing has pretty much been an regular element since the second Dalton flick.

Licence To Kill - he heads off to avenge the murder/attempted murder of Felix Leiter's new bride and Leiter himself.

Goldeneye - the villain turns out to be an ex-fellow agent and friend.

Tomorrow Never Dies - the villain's wife is an ex-lover of Bond's.

The World Is Not Enough - when the woman who Bond is protecting (and sleeping with) turns out to be the villain of the piece, he kills her. But it's clear that doing so affects him.

Die Another Day - after being held by the Koreans for over a year, M suspends Bond's '00 agent' status under suspicion that he leaked information whilst being tortured (although naturally he regains M's trust and his status).

Dalton headbutts a bad guy a few minutes into The Living Daylights ... the one time Moore does it (on Jaws, I think) he hurts himself more than his adversary  .

As far as I recall, it was in The Spy Who Loved Me, blows up when a henchman tries to break into it in FYEO and then Bond gets a replacement Turbo Espirit later in that film.

Yeah. It's such an improvement, over VHS. The sound is great, and the picture is pin sharp. I recommend anyone who likes films to buy them

It's obviously a farce, but it was too perfect not to make when you consider how similar the shot is to the LLL release of Saving Private Ryan.

Clint Eastwood's despairing melancholic elegiac Letters From Iwo Jima definitely makes a powerful anti-war statement.

    Nice theme too!

One thing I remember finding odd about the movie is how much of a goof they made Fred Haise out to be. He knocked up his wife accidentally, vomited on the  way up, substituted country music on the tape player for fun, made a crude joke about eating dead rhino ass, couldn’t understand how Swigert figured out the math for oxygen consumption (or something) and somehow forgot there were three people aboard instead of two. And there’s probably more that I’m forgetting. Altogether, it’s a little much.

His more experimental stuff no, but for his typical drama score there's plenty of orchestra, just usually not a very big one.

In this case, it might just be a critic who's not into scores thinking 'music = orchestra' without really listening to it.
