Gorgeous horror scoring and perfect album arrangement/length. I got used to listening to other albums for horror scores that feel like a collection of jumpscare stingers, which made coming back to this one all the more refreshing for being honest-to-god actual music. I’m not sure where I’d rank it as far as Young’s works go, yet I oddly put this one on pretty often, especially for how soothing the second track is. 

What the hell happened that made Western society so puritanical again? So somebody fucks up in their lives and people are so relentlessly unforgiving towards them. Who the heck has a squeaky clean record anyway?

At least it spawned a series of Ewok movies 2 years later

April Fool's basically died back when Trump came into office, and the whole media landscape revolved around socalled 'fake news' all over the world. And then on top of that this year was the pandemic, which certainly isn't nurturing for any April Fool's. Just as well; never cared much for it in the first place (having no sense of humour as I do).

People should realise that Drax (Dougie) will ban everyone who questions Donald Trump, with the result that JWFan will be a lonely place.

I think we're prone to forgetting how old we are and expect these youngins to have been exposed to the actual good stuff like we were, when the truth is they've never had any interest in exploring what came before their time. Consequently their only frame of reference is whatever was released in the last five years because that's the limit of their exposure.
 
It's as if all this has been designed to be that way too, by making everything as bland and vanilla as possible to invite the widest desired audience. Or else it'll be "too niche" or not commercial enough.
