Christmas was better in the 90's!

My new playlist.

Bes, you forgot CHRISTMAS WRAPPING; DECEMBER WILL BE MAGIC, AGAIN; RUN WITH THE FOX; IN DULCI JUBILO; RING OUT THE SOLSTICE BELLS; A FAIRYTALE OF NEW YORK, THANK GOD IT'S CHRISTMAS, and the greatest Crimbo record, ever: STOP THE CAVALRY.

Also, anything from the CD of

IN SEARCH OF ANGELS, is good.

@Richard Try my playlist on any of your Happy Hour during Christmas and give me news!

There aren't just titles putted toghether randomly!

Here's the playlist that comes after, for the beginning of the dinner.

If you have too young people at your party, they may never talk to you again, but's that the chance to take for educating them.

- The retro guy

Then you can switch to more modern jazzy tunes...

That's good, but you forgot

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS MY TWO FRONT TEETH, and (I shit you not!)

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS THE DUKLA PRAGUE AWAY STRIP.

Why is MARY'S BOY CHILD not there?

What about 2000 MILES, and SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN, by The Boss?

You simply have to have A SPACEMAN CAME TRAVELLING, and no self-respecting list is complete without...THE GREMLINS RAG

Another gem, that stunning reworking. Epic towards the end.

I've loved the band Wilco for many, many years.  Every album they've ever recorded is one I'd call a grower, I always appreciate them more over months and years.  Their new album from this year, Wilco Schmilco, I thought was only OK at first.  While I still think it's minor Wilco, it's really hitting the spot tonight.

Love this song.

Wilco's a hard band to pin down, but yeah generally their sound is a little folk-rockish with veers into noise and art rock at times.

If you've really never heard them before, this is their best song.  From their 1999 masterpiece album Summerteeth:

Indeed and it was the song via which someone on the net introduced me to Drake's work.

I guess that was nine years or so ago now (crikey, the years are speeding by)

However, to some extent I've overexposed myself to that particular song to the point that the effect is less magical than before

(without a long long break between playings, I mean)

I bow with respect at this section (1:44 to 3:49), always...........

I haven't really been much into Adams' albums since Cold Roses, which to me was his creative peak.  Maybe I'll revisit his post-05 stuff one day.

Ashes & Fire if you want the stripped back folky stuff.

Ryan Adams (self titled) if you want the 80s alt-rock stuff.

They're definitely the best of his recent output. If you like his earlier stuff then I'd recommend them! The stuff between Cold Roses and A&F can be skipped if you're not a die hard.

The Taylor Swift album was fun!

His "Bad Blood" cover especially was really really great.

Yeah that was probably the pick of the bunch but overall it was a great attempt. Never came off as contrived.

I saw King Crimson live a few weeks ago, Richard. It's too bad that I didn't like it because it's probably the last concert that I will attend to (due to my nasty tinnitus).

Has Quebec declared a national holiday so everyone can be at home with their families to listen to Celine's playlist?

On the 24th, all the population will be forced to listen to it, just before the midnight mass.

If you don't listen to Celine Dion, you are instantly excommunicated.

It's a double edged sword. It can bring out the very best in people, it can bring out the very worst in people.

Chocolate can bring out the best in people too. But chocolate exists. God does not!

God creates  Man.

God creates chocolate.

Man ignores God.

Man eats chocolate.

Man dies of a coronary.

Chocolate inherits the Earth.
