Josh500 1,616
Me, I want it to be (just a little) jazzy, with a wealth of new themes. A new theme for most of the major characters? So, it should be a mixture of CMIYC, Raiders, and Harry Potter.

Hitch 58
Seeing as Thomas Newman will eventually end up doing the score, I'm looking forward to hearing something dark, sinister and funny.....like his SIX FEET UNDER main theme.
indy4 155
Something like John Addison's main theme from Torn Curtain. I don't know why.OF course, I'd rather JW ignores the book and pulls out something totally new, but that's the tune I always imagine when I think of the upcomign score. Wojo 2,453
I'd like it to sound like something I'd be interested in listening to or buying. Which aside from Indy 4, there haven't been any Williams scores like that for me since the third Harry Potter.

JoeinAR 1,950
Since the score is still 2 years away this really is a most speculative thread.Maybe for America he'll have a different theme than for Europeans.Tin Tin, tin tin, tin tin, tintin, tintin, not Rintin,buttintin,tintin,tintin..... Datameister 2,100
I dunno what the movie is gonna be like. But for a standalone listening experience, I'd certainly appreciate a throwback to the vintage sound that JW had in the late 70s and early 80s. Quintus 5,400
I personally think the score to Munich was a very good and suitable score. Much more successful in its execution than KotCS was, indeed Munich is the superior score of the two.

Jeshopk 8
I have no expectations for the score, and I am sure Williams will write a perfectly appropriate score for the film, as usual. I'm not expecting anything in particular except that he will follow the same approach to scoring a film as he always has.

But I am too lazy to search back to check.I'm not making fun you understand, but would you say you're easily pleased in general? When music is written in a certain vein, basically, the vein that John Williams writes, I am somewhat easily pleased. I do have my likes and dislikes when it comes to certain compositional techniques that Williams employs, but I don't like to speak with authority on the matter, because it is just his preference versus mine, and as a composer I respect differences in sensibility.I can be more outspoken about other types of music that I find generally bankrupt in execution, but when it comes to music like Williams' (or a number of other great composers) there's so much more to enjoy about each new piece than there is to complain about.
