Jacob 0
Invariably the music we listen to at any given time is often based on how feel.Weather can have an interesting effect on that, especially when it's rainy or snowy it seems. There's something atmospheric, even cinematic about it.It's been raining quite a bit here. I can't say that I have any particular favorite soundtrack(s) I always put on for a rainy day.Just generally, something 'cold' or melancholy or wistful feels right. This morning I listened to Desplat's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.Currently listening to Prisoner of Azkaban. airmanjerm 78
I'd have to say the Vince Guaraldi music that accompanies the Peanuts cartoons. It ALWAYS makes me think of rainy days to hear that music just by itself.Ironically our USAF jazz ensemble performed a Guaraldi-Tribute program on a tour of northern CA last week (I got to write out several of the tunes, which was amazingly fun). One of the concerts was at the Charles Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa CA and...well, it rained that day.
Naïve Old Fart 9,740
Accidental Tourist is the prototype of rainy day musicAn astute observation, mein herr, and it is no less brillant for it.Not a soundtrack, but "Oxygene" by Jean Michel Jarre would be my choice for a rainy day, or, of course, "Equinoxe" 5!
